It's not as addicitve as Twilight but I was more emotionally connected to it. How could you not read a Stephenie Meyer book?? It's a guaranteed freaking amazing book. I know what you mean though. My brother loves the Twilight books but it is taking him 3 months to open The Host. I feel like he's doing it just to make me mad cause he knows how badly I want to talk about it!!! grrrr.....

it took me a while to read it too.

i checked it out from the library the first time i read it cause i knew there was a chance i might not like it. i tried to read it the first day or so and just could not get hooked, much less understand what was going on. finally a week before it was due back i realized that i hadnt given it a fair chance. so i started over and after the first 2 or 3 chapters i fell in love with it. then i turned around and read it again.

it's soooo hard to describe that book to people. it's def. underestimated.

Every time I get sick of reading Twilight for the thousandth time I always have the Host to fill the void. The movie is going to be amazing (I hope). I really want the Captain Kirk guy to be Ian and Kellan Lutz to be Kyle. They jury is still out on the rest of the cast.
