New Moon Actress Anna Kendrick on Jay Leno

Look at little Jessica Stanley! The Twilight Saga’sAnna Kendrick has indeed had a phenomenal year. The actress has been receiving rave reviews for her work in upcoming film, Up in the air starring George Clooney. Check out Anna on Jay Leno.

It's warming up, today's my department's Christmas Lunch, yesterday was my kid's Christmas concert (and they actually called it “Christmas”, not “Winter”… LOL) and my hubby downloaded a bunch of my favourite Christmas music, including things like The Grinch and Adam Sandler's Hannukah song onto my iPod last night…

Hubby suffers from anxiety & panic attacks, and uses his MP3 player to reduce sensory overload as a coping mechanism. His MP3 player fried about a month ago, and he had a series of doctor's appointments coming up, which are just horrible for him… so I kindly offered him the use of my iPod nano, which I'd gotten for my bday… (I compromised – I really wanted an iTouch, but knew we couldn't afford it at the time… my brother and hubby went together on the Nano)…

So, now I had nothing to listen to… so I may have kind-of-sort-of strongly suggested to hubby that I would give him my Nano for Christmas if I got an iTouch? And, since he needed something for his doctor's appointments, then he could have my nano right away, so shouldn't I get something right away to listen to on my commute?

LOL – I'm so evil! And yes, they will be wrapped and put under the tree… on Christmas Eve…

He's home right now cause he just had surgery on his foot or else he would have been gone a month ago. He's deployment is scheduled for a year but with his surgery he should only be gone 9 months maybe 8. If you need someone Im always here. We use our laptop to plug the girls into movies – bigger screen by far than the portable DVD player – and use a multiple jack for the headphones… They have their nintendo DS games, we get road snacks, and it's quiet sailing!
When I went on roadtrips as a kid? Yeah, we had books, and were told to enjoy the scenery… LOL!
105 SC~3rd_Wife(TeamSM) 12.17.09 at 7:26 pm: A year is pretty long for a first deployment. Hopefully it will just be 8 months. I've been a marine wife for nearly 13 years and I've lost track of the number of deployments we've been through. His longest was 13 months, although it was scheduled for just 6 months. Usually he is gone for 6 months, and almost always to Japan. My co-worker teases me that he has another family over there! Anyway, you get used to it real quick. This is the way I look at it: when I get sick of him he leaves and by the time I miss him he comes home. Sounds cold, but it works! It's why we have been married so long. I think every couple needs some time apart to realize how much they need each other (hmm, maybe that's what Edward was really thinking!) – the military marriage is perfect for that.

This being your first deployment you might be the one in need of support. Keep me in mind if you need any advice or just to talk. BTW – what branch is your in?

It's been kinda hard on us because he joined last Nov. and we've been living apart since then because of the schools he's had to go to and when he got to his actual brigade they told him they would deploy in Nov so the kids and I stayed at home. We see him on the weekends since he is stationed 5 hrs away from home. He tore his achilles tendon wich delayed his deployment for 90 days.Thanks for listening I'm so happy to have people on here to talk to about my love for the saga and my military wife life too.
