the trouble is with reading continuity mistakes and other things is you notice more when you rewatch and it spoils it. I found that with Twilight when she is in the hospital bed, only I knew that when Edward and her mum were speaking to "her" but looking at the camera, she wasn't actually there and it spoils it :'(

Firstly, the bit that seemed a dream....if you read the book, she does think it is a dream cos she thinks she is dead first after all and imagining Edward, but she does tell him that so that should have been in the film imo. And secondly it really really infuriates me when they cut so much. I mean......Lord of the rings films, how long are they!!!???!!! if they are going to cut scenes, then as someone said ^^^up there, they ought to release another edition of the film with them all in where they were meant to be and they could even charge more. Who wouldn't pay it even if we had to sell our soul's lol. And the outside kiss wasn't in when he was stopped from standing in the light????????????????????? GRRRRRR that was so.......essential to it lol.

King Kong was 5 hours long. So why couldn't New Moon be that long. I would of sat there for 5 hours. LoL. I believe that the DVD comes otu April 10th, 2010. I hope that is true but i am sure that is a rumor.

I went mad when i read New Moon script, all the parts i was dieing to watch have been cut wish they'll be on the DVD though!

and..... isn't there another ExB italy kiss, but outside of the building? the italy kiss in the movie was inside the building but we ALL saw the pictures from outside?!!?

I can not wait for the dvd! I said that as soon as I saw the movie. I am so looking forward to the deleted scenes! There was so many little things that got left out that I was looking forward to! BTW, I hate watching clips of MR but I can't help it cause I wanna know what she's talking about. I really hope there's some sort of bridge between Italy & when they're back in Forks. For people who don't know the books, I know it's already been misinterpreted that when Bella wakes up in her bed after the scene of them walking out of the Volturi main hall, it's thought she was just dreaming again & it was really confusing. Bella should have at least said something akin to her words in the book... Like, "Did that really happen? Did we really go to Italy?" or something... pweh. DVD COME NOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! How could I possibly find NM with deleted scenes when I couldn't manage to do that not even with Twilight? It should be possible by now and yet...

All this talk about deleted scenes has me sad.. so much is missing from the movie. The one scene I am very sad didn't make it into the movie is the plane ride back from Italy...I need Coke and Bella trying to stay awake... just proves the point that New Moon was way to short...3 hours would of been PERFECT!!!!! Hopefully they don;'t skip everything we want to see in Eclipse.. come on David please make sure you don't cut out the LEG HITCH

Did anyone else notice that EVERY single line from the trailer that actually made it into the final movie was a different shot or take from what was in the trailer? Different inflections, different setting...Which was fine, I'll admit. They were better takes than the originals. The trailer had me scared that this movie was going to be as cheesy and retardedly awkward as the first one. Love the series, but I'm just not sure there is any way to translate it to the movie screen without turning it into an after-school special. Maybe if they'd gotten a decent writer for the screenplays it would have helped. (Where did they get M.R. anyway? Google search for people who got an A in English in their Senior year, at least 15 years ago?)

I just hope that they add everything that did not make it to the movie in the deleted scenes...I can't wait for the dvd...when is it out??

He never said he wasn't 100 percent sure. He planned to love her until she was old and gray, the incident with Jasper was a risk he was aware of being around vampires, so he left to protect Bella. Jacob was unaware that he was going to turn into a "monster" that could physically hurt Bella, once he did he told her to stay away, but that same night he came to her saying he couldn't bear to be without her.

My point to the poster was that Jacob was not a hypocrite, and neither is Edward. I like them both. They both did things to protect Bella, because they both loved her, and they both hurt her in doing so. I understand the decisions both characters make in the books. :)

Cannot WAIT for the deleted scenes and the commentary. You guys have made me want to sit down right now and watch Twilight with the commentary again! I am so excited because I'm going to see New Moon again tomorrow night with some friends. That'll be 5 times for me now (I think)....I'm starting to lose track. All I know is it's been way too long since I saw it last and I'm going through withdrawal. The "Movie Stop" store near my house is already accepting customer pre-orders for the New Moon DVD. They have a release date of March 15th posted on their signage. I sure hope that's true and not a tenative release date. I'm dying for the commentary!!! I hope its also true that Summit will release a director's cut of the film. i posted this before and again it`s just a little story about me I used to help someone come out of the twilight closet . . .

Once upon a time, I thought twilight was some stupid harry potter thing, but then my friend got my little sister the book and she didn't read it much. A long time passed and I still thought it was dumb. I asked my friend to explain to me what it was about and she's not good at explaining you see.

Then, I found out the movie was coming out and I read it very quickly falling in love with it. I finished twilight and litterally 10 minutes later watched the movie. However I went away the weekend my friends and I were supposed to watch it. When I called my friends they told me they already watched it without me. I started crying. I was sad. But my friend watched it again with me.

Anyways, I've always loved books but never had a chance to express the way i felt about them . . . but then twilight was better then anything else i'd ever read before and I . . . . I was in love . . .

I hid my computer screen a lot, not wanting people to see me on this website . . . but then soon . . . I said this "WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE TWILIGHT! IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND GET OVER IT CUZ FANPIRES ARE EVERYWHERE!!! GET USED TO IT BUDDY!"

And then I walked out of my closet with my shoulders squared and my head held high! . . . and annoyed my whole household about it . . . . but! The part that matters is that if it makes YOU feel good talking about a great franchise such as this! Show it off! After watching the movie, I actually went and read that script that was leaked online (O.o Naughty me! I would NOT read it before the film, though.)
Anyway, being the sad, obsessed, crazy person that I am, I started comparing the script which I read (which was like a very rough second draft or summat) to the actual movie. And I came across some scenes in it which DEFINITELY weren't in the film. And some of them I was so disappointed weren't in.
Like there was one after the breakup and it cuts away from Bella's point of view and checks in on the Cullens. I LOVED it! Very sad it wasn't in D;
There was also a scene with Victoria in the forest and hunting people. Blah blah blah.
Anyhoo, I just know that those scenes would have been absolutely marvellous to see on screen. But unfortunately, there weren't in it. =/
I even doubt they'd be a deleted scene. *sob*

Oh my goodness!!! There definitely was not enough of the J/B garage scenes. They for sure needed so much more in order for people to really understand the extent to how close they had become.

If not the garage scenes, then showing them doing homework together, going looking for bike parts, and of course this would have had to have been done differently, but in the book they both go together to look for the meadow.

So much time they spent together before he even transformed, and THAT'S what led to me absolutely adoring and loving Jake.

thank you, we didnt see them look for the parts together and the talks they had. i think i truly just missed the talking amongst them. also, him trying to help her back to the meadow w/out him knowing exactly where they were going. also, small things how jake knew more about bella w/out her telling him. music,dance, and edward,etc...
for instance, in the movie jacob mentioned edward but in the book he would never do that bc he knew how much it hurt her.
anyways, after putting my 2cents in im realizing none of us will be fully happy bc once again a movie can only be 2hrs long translating over 600 page book. so overall im happy!

true, but jake was very honest as well and during the 1st attempt w/the hand holding he told her it was his problem how he/she would interpret it & kept trying and eventually she let him hold her hand.
i wished they showed his persistence w/her bc the hand holding was just symbolic to how he would never give up when it came to her. k im getting lame and deep again.

with all the efforts that MR does to add new meaning to the scripts..."irony" and if they start cutting all the scenes, and as i´ve been reading the posts here, the majority seems Edward´s lines and scenes...I think we are going to get a new version of the movie with Edward so...people let´s get ready!

Interesting. Hopefully it will have everything on the dvd for deleted scenes. I think I'm most looking forward to hearing the commentary from Rob, Kris, Taylor, And Mr. Weitz. The Twilight commentary was hilarious.

The Twilight DVD didn't come out until March. I hope New Moon comes out sooner, like, maybe February.

Twilight stayed in theaters for a long time--seems like it was still in theaters at the beginning of February.

New Moon will probably leave theaters much sooner as the number of theaters and the number of times it's being shown has already shrunk considerably and it's only the end of December.

You know.. now that you say that. I saw Twilight at some dinky theater about 25 min. away at the end of January last year. And it had come out right around the time NM came out in November. And NM is now only playing at this same dinky theater already and it's not even January... so that does make me wonder if they're going to put it out earlier this year (ie: Feb. instead of March).

Makes that idea more credible; not to mention there's higher demand b/c there are more fans and we've all become more rabid now. LOL.

I guess that from their numbers they've concluded that the majority of people who have wanted to see New Moon are fans and that they've pretty much seen it multiple times now.

Whereas with Twilight it just grew and grew--I checked and Twilight was out until April at the theater and it pretty much held steady until the DVD came out...the fandom was still building and people spread out their viewing times.

With New Moon there are millions of devoted fans but we must have all seen it 5-10 times each now. Now we're waiting for the DVD.

I'm really excited for the deleted scenes and the just the DVD in general.
Especially the Victoria deleted scene. Dunno why. I just know it's gunna be amazing! :D

They also didn't have the scene of Jake where everyone saw his swooned and drooled over his abs for the very first time in the trailer. It was the one where it just showed him standing up like he was looking towards something.

Probably not a significant enough scene to go ahead and include, but I still wonder where it was supposed to have fit. Most likely towards the end, but how I wonder HOW it would have fit.

If that IS the scene where Edward carries her in the house and Charlie tells him off, why in God's name was it not in the movie?
Seeing Charlie in 'protective' mode and Edward brush him off would have been awesome!

I agree! That's why I was saying before that when you create trailers too early in post production that always happens...i've seen it happen with a lot of movies. And that's another reason why I think DS is taking so long with the trailer, he really doesn't want any scene or line that's not in the final cut in the trailer.

Oeehhhh I love the meteor line!! It's definitely one of my favorites.
I agree they shouldn't have cut out that return from Italy scene. You could really feel the absence of a few important scenes and it just made the movie a little less perfect for me.

DS is tweeting that he doesn't know where they are in the making of, the production of, or the timing of putting out of the trailer. Looks like he's not really involved in it. Someone else is doing it.

idk but i cannot wait to see it again. and i agree we should have those actors together but the were trying to follow the book and could not fit everything in. and i also noticed that the left out a part that i noticed at once the eyes on Aro were not clouded like in the book and the also left out big portions of the book but i think that the worst part of the movie was the end ...well not bad but the most aggravating. i am not going to say what that is in case anyone has not seen the movie because i do not want to spoil it!!!!!:)

Ok, maybe I'll get a little bit angry with this comment, but the deleted scenes topic reminds me certain things that I can't just bottle up.

I don't know what is wrong with them that they can't think of a two and a half hours movie. A lot of movies are this long and nobody says anything. If the movie requires it, go for it!! Even Stephanie says loads of times this sentence: "I would like the movies to be 8 hours long, but you actually have to fit everything in 90 minutes" NOOOOO, it's 120, 2 hours!! And it could easily be 150!! Stop making this adaptations like if they where simple commercial movies that have to be 90 minutes, like romantic comedies. you have a fan base that needs to SEE the books projected into the screen and not a MR's version!!

BTW, I specially missed the back from Italy scene, not only the one where they are at Bella's room (that should be longer) but also the Charlie/Edward's, and also needed to be told somewhere that Alice actually wants to turn Bella into a vampire if Edward doesn't want to.

I'm sorry I needed to throw it up here, my boyfriend is a good listener, but when it comes to twilight, he somehow becomes deaf LOL

It wouldn't be the first time that a company does it, and it makes the movie "watchable" for the "no-fans" (which means much more money) and later on faithful for the fans when they'll buy it (moooore money)! I don't know why Summit doesn't hire me!! LOL

lol...i luv u for saying that.... i agree that they left so much out... and even to this day i wonder why they wont just make the friggen movies longer... truly movies arent considered "long" anymore unless they pass 2 hrs and 30 minutes...everyone already knows how i feel about MR cutting out the details that make the book special...i agree completely that they've left out integral parts of EVERYONE's relationships and its REALLY annoying...i just wish we could get an answer for that one...truth be told summit should be willing to invest the money and possibly take out some lonas if necessary to do the movie correctly...because it will pay off ... cest la vie for answers we dont have...

another scene that was in the trailer and not in the movie was when Bella's going to go to Italy with Alice and Jacob stops her, that Bella says "I have to go" and Jacob says "he left you here, he doesn't want you anymore". I loved that scene in the trailer and when i saw the movie it was like, what have you done with that! haha

I'm thinking those line were said in the break-up scene and just emliminated. Maybe that's the break-up scene edition that Rob and Kristen improvised. It sounds too good to be MR's writing.

i think the RESTRAINT line should have been in the movie, cuz it helps people who DID NOT read the book understand why it is so hard for Edward to kiss her, etc.

I hope it's sooner. I know the Twilight DVD didn't wasn't release until March, but then Twilight stayed in the theaters until sometime in February.

Seems like New Moon will leave much sooner--I was planning to go see it yesterday and was unable to do so because it was only playing in one theater nearby and only had 2 show times--7:45 pm and 10:45 pm. That is a drastic cut--just a few weeks ago it was playing 25 times a day in every theater in my area (no joke, I counted!)

me too - was gonna see it tonight but it was only playing at 730 and 1030 and I got there at 9....... so i couldn't see it

i know, i don't get why it was taken out of the theaters so soon. i bet if they had left it in during xmas weekend and new year's eve weekend, they could have made a ton more money.
