Moviefone.com listed the 10 top Breakout Stars of 2009 and 2 of the New Moon stars are in it!
1. Taylor Lautner
Royally buffing up as the shapeshifting werewolf Jacob Black in the sequel ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon,’ Taylor Lautner redefines teenage hunk in his breakout role. Graduating from Bella’s long-haired admirer in the first film, Lautner is able to flex his muscles, quite literally, with a much larger, brooding part in the second vampire flick. There is a reason why Taylor beat out the rest of the notable names on this list for the top spot: sheer box office brawn. The Twihards have spoken: Team Jacob all the way — well, for now at least. Next Up: Reprising his role as Jacob Black in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.’
7. Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick has a lot going for her. She co-stars in that hit film series ‘Twilight,’ and just snagged a National Board of Review prize for her naively overconfident, quick-witted turn as a newbie firing-agent in Jason Reitman’s ‘Up in the Air.’ At only 24, Kendrick has proved to be a mighty talent in both comedy and drama, garnering a heap of Oscar buzz going toe-to-toe with George Clooney in ‘Air.’ Next Up: Edgar Wright’s ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ and, of course, reprising her role as Jessica in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.’
BREAKOUT!! Congratulations Taylor and Anna! Don’t forget…Taylor is hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow night!
As previously reported, a 22 year-old Chicago woman was recently arrested at a local movie theater for allegedly pirating the movie the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Well the charges have since been dropped on the young lady.
She had about three minutes of “New Moon” on her digital camera. Tumpach has said she was taping her sister’s birthday party and wasn’t trying to record the movie.
The film’s director, Chris Weitz, came to Tumpach’s defense. He told the Chicago Sun-Times there’s a difference between trying to protect a copyright and prosecuting someone who didn’t mean to commit video piracy.
The 22 year old initially was charged with illegally recording the film, and was set to be charged with a felony for her actions. As of today, the charges are now officially dropped.

Clevver TV talks about Taylor Lautner’s upcoming new action role as Max Steel.
It’s looking like those 30 or so pounds of pure muscle that TL packed on for New Moon definitely paid off. Let us know if you think Taylor will stay strong in his “Max Steel” showing. Plus, what other young actors do you think will be cast in the upcoming movie, as both fellow heroes as well as villains?
I kinda remember Max Steel. I was so young in the 90s. What? *looks around for lightning*
So I wonder when Max Steel will start filming, because you know it better not interfere with Breaking Dawn filming. I’m just saying. LOL! I love Taylor and I think this is wonderful for him. He will definitely make a great Max Steel.
Take this as a joke, but funnyman Pee-Wee Herman, who is making a big comeback with a stage show in LA that is a remake of the original–which I will be attending!–claims that Taylor Lautner will play him in an upcomig movie:
“Taylor Lautner’s playing Pee-Wee in the movie. That’s what I understand,” Paul Reubens, in character as Pee-Wee, joked to Access Hollywood on Monday.
The “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse” star is making a comeback with a new stage show in Los Angeles, debuting at Club Nokia in January – and he added that a pair of movies are in the works.
“There’s going to be at least two new movies. Most people don’t know about it, yet, including all the studios,” he laughed with his trademark “ha-ha.” “I’m sure there will be in my lifetime.”
