And i don't think they should have a problem shooting the birth scene on a PG-13 rating... they can shoot it from a different angle that lets you see whats going on without showing too much or have it be from BPOV where she is fading in and out and you see Edward working over her.. maybe show a little blood dripping to the floor.. more Edward working.. then you hear him say "Renesmee" and hands her to Bella.. she finally fades out all the way and Jacob working over her. You know? Bella doesn't have to be totally naked and exposed like the book, even tho thats how SM wrote it.

i think they could make it look cool even if it has a PG-13 rating... Summit knows they will do it! and thats where they should cut the first movie, and the second one be Vamp Bella!! :)

Oh come on now as days you can get away with alot in a PG-13 movie, I don't know maybe we could remind MR that she writes a show about a serial-killer so what is her problem? Well, I've said it before, but I will repeat what I think they should do with the birthing scene.

*Jacob's POV until Bella starts to vomit blood.

*Bella's POV for birth: black screen, Bella narrates, we hear Jacob/Edward in background... flashes of light, Jake's face when she tries to "find it" instead of fading to black... etc. Then Bella hears Edward say "Renesmee" very clearly, she holds her, looks at her "so pretty" gets bitten, Bella "dies".)

*Back to Jakes POV: (Bella should be tastefully covered with a sheet across her whole torso and lower body, shoulders, neck, head exposed) Edward hands baby off to Rosalie. Jake does CPR, Edward injects venom into her heart and bites, bites, bites (the parts of her that aren't covered by sheet). Edward tosses Jake out for believing she's dead... then STAY WITH EDWARD while he works over her. His expression changes when he "hears" what's going on with Jake and Renesmee, but we don't know what's going on. (We can find out about imprinting when Bella does).

*Back to Bella's POV for "changing": Black screen, she can narrate, they can flash quick visuals of her descriptions of what it's like to burn (ie her imagining that it's like being burned at the stake, show a quick flash of that visual image... not too much gore of course, for the young'uns).

I really think we need some gore drops of blood, seizures, spine breaking and ripping sounds. I want to see Edward desolate and in a panic, I want to see Jacob come after Rosalie. If the make two movies they should have not trouble fitting a long Isle Esme. I worry about when they'd cut the book at between the two movies before or after the Birth scene.

I agree...however I fear they won't make it like that..they have all the teens who's parets wont agree to too much blood or sex...
I also wish the would make it into two movies...I think Summit is debatting and that's maybe why they haven't announced anything yet!!!???

i pretty much love your idea!! i think its a great happy medium for the fans... we get to 'be there' when Renesmee is born, but not actually be all in the gore and stuff! AND i LOVE the idea for Edward facial expression change when he hears about Jacob and Renesmee! awesome..

Then he explains, she calms down, she is aggravated but not wanting to kill him (yet)... yada, yada. makes most sense to me.

Initially I wanted just one movie and I think I would prefer that. But if they do two, I would be delighted to watch it all played out.. I'm just not sure Summit will do it as maybe there isn't enough action in the first half of book. That said, I'd watch them sitting around talking for hours and hours and hours....

I think we'll probably see Bella "giving birth" but they'll more than likely cut out the whole Edward biting through the membrane thing and all the blood that will come with it.

We'll most likely hear a few screams, (panic ensues), then out comes Renesmee, Bella gets all goo goo eyes at her; then "dies". Jake gives her mouth to mouth, Edward starts injecting some venom, Jacob gets all emo as he thinks she's gone, then Edward will tell Jacob to sod off while he starts frantically trying to restart her heart so the change can take place. We'll then watch Jacob walk down the stairs, hatred etched onto his face when he spots Rosalie with the baby, then voila, end scene.

I thought the song possibilities from new moon that had the lyric about hearing her heart stopping would have been perfect for this scene- I hope they will consider using it in breaking dawn as well. that and the drops like a drop of blood or two hitting the floor and the words screams etc could fade in and out with the music- the rest as you describe. I don't think they need to overcomplicate the whole thing trying to avoid the bloodshed. course the blood drops is kind of john hughes movie she's having a baby.

I tend to call that an over the top c-section, haven't you seen a Baby's Story? the first movie should end with Bella opening her eyes and stopping it right there.

Yeah, I've already stated that previously in other posts - that would be a perfect cut off point. I was answering the question of the birth, not the follow up to Bella's transformation. It's all just in fun.

I think they will break BD into two movies. The fans will go NUTS if they only do one because they will loose so much of the book. Just look at Twilight and NM.. there were some great great scenes that weren't included...
