The Runaways poster that has been making its way around the internet since December 5th is not an official poster for the upcoming movie starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning; it is also not a “fan-made graphic”. I have a relationship with Coolspotters.com, and the poster graphic was designed for them. When The Runaways started filming this past summer and the movie page was created, there weren’t any official images available. The teaser poster was made as a temporary placeholder until the official poster was revealed; which is indicated on the image. The poster image was literally drafted and posted within 2 minutes after I noticed the cast chairs on the set of the movie with the same color/logo. I am a graphic designer and this is not even my best work, but of all things I have designed, this is the one that gets spread around like crazy… who would have known? Thank for you the feedback though, it’s cool that it was decent enough to fool some people.

Dakota has to do some crazy things. really crazy. The movie is more about Cherie than Joan. Cherie was the frontwoman with a really fcked up mother.
And the Runaways manager- Kim Fowley. he is quite a cookie, too. Mind you that Micheal Shannon plays him.

The Runaways had a pretty wild life. It was sex,drugs,booze but above all Rock'n'Roll. So both Kristen and Dakota get hot'n'heavy with guys….and each other. Cherie was a great performer and made a show, but also let people objectify her… there is a scene with a provocative photoshoot.
And the girls do their own music. Dakota has to sing.

dude…. the Runaways are some deep sht. One of the actual bandmembers was cut out of the movie completely because a nasty things with court involved (in the japan poster its the one on the right).
They were a band with strong-headed girls. So there is some bittching involved.

Apparition (the official distributor) is a small company so it means distribution in North America… The band was VERY successful in Japan so supposedly there is an Asian distributor already. it is said that Sweden and Spain has bought rights too. I am just praying that the important guys here move their polish assess and buy this sht already.

They should learn to do this again when we have to wait a year for BD to come out. It's going to make time go by faster
This one is completely off topic, but we also have Toy Story 3 coming out the week before eclipse! haha. I know, I know, I'm 20 years old. I shouldn't be so excited to watch it, but Toy Story was my favorite movie when I was little and now Andy is going off to college in the new one so I feel like I grew up with him haha.

Uh, just to warn you, Marlon Brando's like 200 pounds of middle-aged wrinkled sweaty flesh LOL. Not exactly the Marlon we swoon after LOL. I believe those sex scenes were done in a very realistic way on purpose, since this period in film was exploring sexuality in a new way.

I'm super excited for this movie..
I remember hearing Joan Jett when I was little and I always loved her voice. I've been a big fan of her's for a couple years and I've been really inspired by her. The Runaways also really influenced me, being that I play and write music. They really showed how women can rock. My dad was lucky enough to see them in concert when they were first starting out. I'm so freaking jealous.
Anyway, I'm sure this movie will be great. Kristen and Dakota are wonderful actresses.
