Yeah, you don't want to look at it in few years and wonder what you were thinking. Glad I didn't get something awful done as a teenager. I was 25 when I got my first and I still love it. I have no regrets about mine and they're all really easy to hide. It's just fighting the urge to get another one that bugs me. The past couple of years I've wanted a starburst one on the back of my shoulder, lots of tiny, multi-coloured stars going down my shoulder blade. I think my sis might make me join a circus if I do it!

Here's a great tip to help you out with that. Decide what you want and have it drawn up (or printed if you chose flash) and tape it to your bedroom wall. Look at it everyday and if you still like it after a year, then get it tatted. Also, once you are in the parlor, have them put the carbon where you think you want it and spend several minutes looking at yourself in the mirror to see if you like the placement.

I'm scared of needles too so I use henna. It can last anywhere from a week to a month. I like this design and will probably shrink it and use at it some point.

I will never get a tattoo in the company of other women again. They turned it into some kind of feminine bonding experience. I had to tell them to let my hands go cz they were squeezing. And the tattooist told me getting it on the spot on my hip that I wanted it was a bad idea cz there's a nerve cluster there and it would really hurt. I didn't back down though and it actually tickled. I was giggling for 20 minutes. The second one I got on a whim and didn't think until the outline got started that it might hurt having it right down my lower spine! It was bearable.
I got drunk after all three!

That tattoo is amazing. It's nice if you like both sides and you want a compromise. And the font is pretty sweet. Not like the typical Twilight tats I see, with an apple or the Be Safe on the wrist move. If I got anything Twi-Tat related I'd get it on my ankle or wrist. But I think If I want anything I'll just stick to henna, plus it's not permanent. Plus needles aren't fun

I went with my aunt, but she just sat to the side and watched. I don't need anyone to hold my hand through it! As far as hurting… I think it really just depends on the person. What might be painful for some won't be painful for others. Not to mention people have different thresholds for pain. Mine didn't hurt in the slightest and I got it on the hip area.
So the lower spine is bearable.. good to know!
I would like to get one more eventually, I think. I didn't get drunk after the first one; maybe the second. hehe. What are your tats of, if you don't mind my asking?

I was told the upper arm can hurt when it gets near the bone but I didn't find it too bad. Everyone feels it differently and it depends how fleshy the area is.
I have an Egyptian eye of Horus on my hip, a cat jumping down my lower back and a yellow and orange star on my upper arm.

That is way too big. Mine are all easy to hide and medium sized. I don't think they ever really hurt as much as you expect. If you go in expecting pain, it probably hurts more. The one on my arm is where the pack have theirs but it's a bit smaller.
Freaking awesome wish i had the kahunas to do something like that but i think i'll just admire it and leave it at that i have a MAJOR aversion to needles of any type!!!

It scabs over but it usually falls off in a few days. You NEVER scratch a healing tat; if the scab gets pulled off before the skin's healed, the ink comes off too and you get patches of colour. Really it feels like a graze and the itch isn't so bad that you can't ignore it. My arm didn't scab at all and I was worried that it wouldn't heal right but it was fine. As long as you follow the after care instructions it's not so bad.

Well, I'm not a not a tattoo person, I've had needles stuck in me the last ten years (medical reasons) to last a lifetime, no thanks. Yes, artistically, it's very “original”, though I hope in 10, 15, 20years from now, this person doesn't regret it. Believe me, it won't look the same, I've seen tattoos on people who are now in their 40's, 50's and so on, and it is not a very pretty sight.

I like the tattoo but it is to big for me. I got a tattoo on my foot last summer for the Twilight Saga. No I saw them taking a body out of the house but they covered it with a sheat. And it looked like who was underneath the sheat didn't have a slim figure so I guessed it was her mom since she's the one with that kind of figure. She's also the one who is depressed so we thought it was her. But it turns out it was her dad. Which in my opinion is even more sad because he was the strong one in the family. His wife told her son after breakfast :''go and see where your dad is at'' So the boy found him (he's 13 years old) in the garage with a rope around his neck.
And to say I'm so sorry for your loss just doesn't cover it in my opinion so I don't really know what I'm gonna say..

I saved the pic to my computer so I can shrink it to a smaller size. I will then print it out. I will use tracing paper to trace the design. After I finish, I will use a visa pen to trace the back of the design. then i will apply water to where i want it on my skin and then press the design down. I will then use henna and trace the lines on my skin. I hope i explained this well enough. I've done it before, but it is hard to explain without actually showing u how to do it. I actually gave myself the wolfpack tatoo when i went to see new moon. I did it on my hand. it lasted for a month!
