As most of you are aware Haiti was devastated yesterday by a Earthquake at the magnitude of 7.0, plus many strong after shocks.

Its been a scary time for Haiti, shortly after the initial Earthquake hit, it became dark outside. With having no daylight, no power, it’s been nothing but devastating. Today we’ll more than likely learn just how badly they were damaged.

ThinkingofRob.com is a website dedicated to all things Robert Pattinson. Over the past few months I have become very close to ToR’s staff, especially the site owner — Faker Paris.

Faker Paris has been tweeting non stop since we learned of the Earthquake, and just how badly the initial reports were.

Her efforts have been so great, and she hasn’t stopped, that even the LA Times Blog has recognized the effort that ThinkingofRob.com has put into trying to get the Twilight/Robert Pattinson fandom to donate and help Haiti -

Various tweeple and bloggers in the gossip and “Twilight” fan communities (@ThinkingofRob is on fire with updates) are urging donations to the Canadian Red Cross and elsewhere.

If you are able to help in any way, every donation counts big or small — Go here for the Canadian Red Cross to donated. And here for the American Red Cross.

Wyclef Jean has also set up a program where you can text YELE to 501501, which gives a $5 donation towards relief efforts for Haiti.

A lucky winner won a terrific prize via Twitter & Summit Entertainment.  Twitter follower Jenny Brutal  won the prize of  a phone call from Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz!  Weitz answered some wonderful questions, and talked about some really cool unknown facts of New Moon.

How nerve-racking was it to know you had to relocate several location for New Moon?

A.) It was really nerve-racking because I thought people would notice and be upset, it was a puzzle to get it just right. The outside of the school is all CGI, we built the stairway for the school and took stills. In the Cullen’s house I also tried to show different rooms in the house to add to the feeling of the house. When Taylor was traveling during Twilight a fan gave him a hand-carved Native American ornament. We used that ornament in Jacob’s room in New Moon.
 

How did you decide to shoot the scene where the months are passing by, considering the books only name the months that pass?

A.) We originally thought we could use a blank screen with names of the months passing but felt that it was best to portray depression visually. CGI was used and the windows were covered by green screen. We used a robotic camera for revolvement to mimic the original hand camera as much as possible. I’m not sure if you noticed but with each revolvement the room changes, there are less pictures of her friends and the room gets more sparse.

Were there any scenes that you would have loved to see in the film but never made the final cut?

A.) Yes, one scene. Theres a scene with a motorcycle crash that gives more of a sense of danger. The reason why it didn’t make the final cut was because of weather reasons, it was just too sunny to be considered Forks. The DVD will include that scene as well as extended scenes. Some of the extended scenes include more of Edward’s visit to the Volturi concerning his immortality and more from the scene between Carlisle and Bella. [when he was stitching Bella up.] In one of the early drafts of the script this scene was not in the movie. Immediately I knew that had to change, it was essential to the story line.

Though the movie follows two love stories, this clip focuses on that between Martine (Kristen) and Gordy, played by Eddie Redmayne. In it, Gordy shows Martine his science project, though both she (and us) aren’t quite sure how the book pertains to science. After some flirting, one thing leads to another, and we’ll let you watch the clip (after the jump!) to see where things go from there.

From what we can gather in the scene, Kristen’s Martine falls somewhere closer to her role of Tracy in “Into the Wild” than Bella in “The Twilight Saga” with a free-spirit attitude and penchant for love. Fortunately, as can be seen in both of the above stills, Kristen is wearing a headband through much of the film, which should cut down on her tendency to run her hands through her hair.

Kristen Stewart has been nominated for the BAFTA Orange Rising Star Award.

Kristen Stewart has been catapulted to fame by her starring role as Bella in the Twilight Saga. She has been nominated for numerous Young Artist awards for her roles in films such as Panic Room, Cold Creek Manor and Into the Wild.

The other nominees for the Orange Rising Star are Jessie Eisenberg, Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan and Tahar Rahim.  The Orange Rising Star Award is the only people’s award at the BAFTA Film Awards and only UK residents can vote.  The BAFTA awards will be held on February 21.
