According to a Barnes & Noble employee — there is an exclusive item that will be included with the 2 disc New Moon DVD at Barnes & Nobel book stores -

Barnes & Noble will be selling the standard two-disc sets in both DVD and Blu-ray that most other retailers will be selling. But, we will also and primarily be selling special “BN Exclusive” editions of both the two-disc DVD and the two-disc Blu-ray sets. These BN Exclusive editions will come with a “Dreamcatcher” bag clip.

I’ve seen a picture of the bag clip, and it looks pretty nice– it has an ‘antique brass’ finished dreamcatcher charm, various stones, two feather charms, and a metal Wolf Pack tattoo charm.

Additionally, Meredith has let us know that pre-orders will begin at Barnes & Noble this Tuesday, January 26th. With that in mind, we believe it’s possible pre-orders will begin at ALL stores (including online retailers like Amazon) nationwide on Tuesday. As always, we’ll keep you updated!

As we previously posted New Moon-er Robert Pattinson gave a speech last night during the Hope for Haiti Now telethon urging people to donate to help out the people impacted from the Haiti Earthquakes.

Oh Rob – You could have shaved! Unshaven was a common thing last night from Brad Pitt, George Clooney, to Justin Timberlake! LOL

The telethon was amazing. It was wonderful to see all of the musicians, and celebs coming together to help the people of Haiti.

I donated money last night for the third time. Even if you can’t afford to donate anything, please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers.

Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Anna Kendrick all took part in the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon Friday night.  Rob, who appeared from London, shared a story of a young girl in Haiti who was buried under the flattened university for nearly 6 days.  Taylor and Anna did their part by answering phones and taking donations from viewers. 

Rob’s speech:

“Underneath a flattened university, Maxine Fallon waited. She was crouched in a fetal position and could barely move. In the darkness and during the hectic sounds of the day, through the pain, the hunger and thrist, she prayed that someone would find her. And on the sixth day her prayers were answered, she was found because of a text message from the rubble sent rescuers to her side. Unlike any other event in history, our world has been connected to this tragedy because of technology. Twitter updates, Facebook pages with pictures of the missing and text messages for help. This technology is working right now to connect us, too. At hopeforhaitinow.org, you can donate and you can instantly interact with people in Haiti and anywhere in the globe. Join with those watching and see what they’re saying about something we all care deeply about — helping the Haitian people get back on their feet. Please go to hopeforhaitinow.org. Thank you.”

Taylor Lautner and Anna Kendrick are listed as celebrity operators for the Hope For Haiti Now Telethon: A Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief Friday night.

Robert Pattinson will be making an appearance from London in support of the telethon, but will NOT be taking calls. 

Kristen will not be able to make an appearance due to her promoting The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys at the Sundance Film Festival.

Tinsel Korey (aka Emily) expresses her thoughts on why those should watch the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon and donate. 

Why should I donate? I don’t know anyone in Haiti. Those are things people might be saying to themselves.

People were wondering why I’ve been trying so hard to help out with this telethon. I don’t know anyone in Haiti personally. The only relation I have to Haiti is from listening to Wyclef’s music for years; the vibrancy in his beats and the poetic sounds of his words have always captured a part of my soul. Haiti, from what I’ve read and heard, has long been a place of struggle. So it’s more heartbreaking to think that in an instant, it has become even harder.

Many thousands of people are believed to have died in last week’s earthquake, and thousands more were injured. Governments have sent in aid from all over the world, but it’s still not enough. Then the aftershocks hit, more buildings came down, and more people were hurt. Many of us watched, feeling helpless as image after image and video after video flashed before our eyes. So what can you do?

Donating money can help get medical supplies, food and shelter to people who are without the basic necessities. As a global society, it is our job as human beings to help one another in times of struggle and times of need. Haiti needs us — right now.
