Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper Hale, has granted one final wish to a dying young girl – giving her a behind the scenes tour of his band, 100 Monkeys, upcoming concert.
14 year old Dorothy is suffering from Terminal Cancer. And her last wish was to meet the rock group. She’ll be backstage this Saturday at their Dallas, Texas concert.
Rathbone was quoted as saying -
We’re all very lucky people and helping others makes us who we are.”
You’re looking at an imagined replica of Jasper Whitlock Hale’s Civil War enlistment papers. A reader over at TwiFans, Jacksons Girl, bought this unofficial souvenir at TwiTour Atlanta last week. She says that–
They had all kinds of other things too like Dr Cullen’s original medical license, the prom tickets Bella and Edward used, etc. OBVIOUSLY, they are not real, but it was super cool to look at.
I love this style of keepsake–it’s like grabbing a little prop out of the Twilight universe rather than just having a typical product decorated with a branded logo.
I’d love to see 20-30 of these “props” in one huge official collector’s package. It could be presented as a keepsake/memory box along with a weathered old scrapbook that was supposedly collected over many years by the vamps, and the items would look like they were from different periods.
There’s a new interview with Jackson Rathbone and his band 100 Monkeys, and while most of the interview is about the band there are a couple of mentions of the projects Jackson is currently working on–
To feed the elephant in the room, Jackson, can you tease anything about “New Moon” for the yearning “Twilight” fans out there?
Jackson: It’s gonna be raging…action-packed, more steamy romance. You get to see a lot more crazy stuff happening. We went deeper into the world now, and it’s gonna be a fun thrill ride for everyone.
Also, filming recently wrapped in Pennsylvania for M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender.” What was that experience like, Jackson?
Jackson: It’s been incredible, a great set. I really believe we’re making a film that’s going to be epic. It’s gonna move people. I think the movie’s gonna turn out beautiful.
Multi-talented New Moon star Jackson Rathbone read from The Bank Robbery by Steve Schutzman at the WordTheatre Pushcart Press Benefit in New York City this weekend. Afterwards, his band 100 Monkeys played.
First he’s all arty and cerebral hanging out with the literary set, then he rocks out and gets sweaty with them on stage…like, can you picture Kellan Lutz doing the same? Hardly. Kellan Lutz can smile pretty and flex his muscles, the end.
That “The End” sounds like a “Happily Ever After” to me!
New Moon vamp Jackson Rathbone–who has had quite a few supporting roles lately–finally has a chance to shine front and center as the lead of an upcoming movie, Girlfriend–
” ‘Girlfriend’ is the chance to see Jackson front and center as the kind of character where, at any moment, we’re not sure if there’s the potentiality to cause harm or to be a good guy, but in a more gritty, realistic indie film,” writer/director Justin Lerner said in a recent conversation with MTV News.
Lerner, who will be making his feature-film debut, describes “Girlfriend” as a “harsh, modern-day take on the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ fable.” That’s not to say we’ll see Rathbone as a hirsute monster, nor that the film has any Disney-esque aspirations. Rather, the movie is a real-world story set in Middle America that will bring Rathbone into a “very bizarre and unconventional love triangle,” Lerner said.
New Moon vamp Jackon Rathbone has a new filmed called The Last Airbender coming out next Summer, and the trailer has just hit the Internets. It’s directed by psychological horror director M. Night Shyamalan.
It’s based on a cartoon of the same name, and Rathbone will play the role of Sokka in the film.
There is also a new interview with Jackson at Starlog, where he gives his thoughts on the filming of New Moon–
“But as the films progress, you get deeper into the aura of that mythical world that you establish with the werewolves and getting more into the vampire society and their legacy. It keeps getting deeper. That’s the great thing about being in the TWILIGHT franchise: You get to grow with the story and have the characters develop. [When you’re an actor in a standalone movie], you only have two hours to develop your character. But when you have three films, you get six hours. It’s like you can go anywhere and everywhere. And that’s a blessing as an actor.”
New Moon’s Jasper Hale, played by the multi-talented Jackson Rathbone, has a new interview where he chats a bit about his thoughts on New Moon compared to Twilight–
“We have a bigger budget, we have a little more pressure to keep that feeling going, but the nice thing is that you’re delving more into the story now with ‘New Moon,’” he said. “As the films progress, you get deeper into the lore and they mythical world you’re establishing with the werewolves and get more into what the werewolf society and legacy is. It keeps getting deeper.”
Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper Hale in New Moon, was at a Lehigh Valley bookstore with his band to autograph books and CDs for fans this weekend. A local news station WFMZ has some video from the event.
