UPDATE 8:57PM EST ExtraTV is liveblogging the event, they just spoke to Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater in Eclipse):

5:34: Julia Jones just told us it was hectic to be filming with the Wolf Pack — they were constantly “throwing things at her” and acting rowdy!
5:13: Julia Jones, who plays Leah Clearwater, just walked in wearing a tight pink dress and a sleek, short ‘do.

Justin Chon and Michael Welch have also arrived.
UPDATE 9:42PM EST: ExtraTV continues to have some great quickie interviews with the stars on their liveblog–Alex Meraz (Paul in New Moon) arrived about 20 minutes ago:

6:25: Alex Meraz says he feels like he’s aged four years because of filming and jokes the premiere should be a national holiday!

Elizabeth Reaser, Xavier Samuel and Cameron Bright have also arrived.

UPDATE 10:15PM EST: Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Chris Weitz, Stephenie Meyer, Nikki Reed, Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Michael Sheen and many more have arrived!

New Moon stars will be storming the country soon, and Hot Topic has released the list of who will be at the events in each city.

To attend an event, you’ll need to go to a participating Hot Topic on Halloween day at 8:00am and receive a wristband by buying a commemorative New Moon tour shirt for $30. Only a limited number will be available.

Then, from November 6th through November 14th members of the cast will hit Hot Topic stores in Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, Miami, Minneapolis, Boston, Seattle, Atlanta, Phoenix and Salt Lake City–only those with wristbands can attend.

As we previously reported – New Moon will be premiering in LA on November 16th. Fans over in the UK have been anxiously awaiting news of whether or not they would have their own premiere with cast members. E1 Entertainment made an official announcement earlier this week. Even though they will not be having the premiere in the UK, they do still have something in the works for the fans -

Summit Entertainment has announced that the World Premiere of NEW MOON will take place on Monday November 16 in Los Angeles.

Therefore, E1 Entertainment is in the process of organizing a NEW MOON UK fan event with the cast on November 11 and will let people know further details as soon as they are confirmed.

Awesome! Haven’t heard anything else about this yet. But it certainly sounds like it would be something you wouldn’t want to miss!

The Twilight Examiner (aka Amanda Bell) has an interesting article in regards to the New Moon premiere date and the Eclipse release date -

On November 16th, the stars of The Twilight Saga: New Moon will line up in Los Angeles for the official premiere of the film.

The heavens, it seems, will also be lining up on that date as well. One Twitterer made an interesting connection between the date of New Moon’s offiical premiere and the lunar calendar.

November 16th will also be the date of a legitimate new moon according to the lunar phase calendar.

Clever? Methinks so.

Moving right along, it seems that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse could be subject to a similar coincidence. The Twitterer’s research proves correct in that on June 26th (four days before the release of Eclipse), a partial lunar eclipse will occur (with the next eclipse, a total eclipse, not due until December 21, 2010). If, like with New Moon’s premiere, Eclipse’s premiere takes place four days before the film’s release, Eclipse will premiere during an eclipse, and New Moon will have premiered during a new moon.

Ahhh .. I tend to agree – clever marketing indeed!

We reported back in July that New Moon would be premiering in Knoxville TN. At that time nothing was confirmed, and we didn’t know if any actors were going to be at that premiere or not. According to WBIR.com in Knoxville – New Moon-ers Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will be attending the Knoxville premiere at the Regal Cinemas! -

Regal Entertainment Group announced on Monday that actors Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will attend the Tennessee Benefit Screening of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”.

The premiere will be held at Regal Cinemas Pinnacle Stadium 18 in Turkey Creek on Tuesday, Nov. 17, three days before the movie opens in theaters. Proceeds from the advance screening will benefit Variety- The Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the public. A drawing will be held for the opportunity to buy two general admission tickets for $100 each. Registration for the drawing is scheduled from Oct. 9-11 during regular business hours at Regal Cinemas in Knoxville. No purchase is necessary to sign up. However, contestants must be 18 or older, and only one entry per person will be accepted. Complete rules for the drawing will be available at participating theatres.

Winners will be chosen by Nov. 3 and notified by phone. Tickets cannot be resold. At the time of purchase, both guest names will be registered. For entry to the event, valid identification must be shown.

Benefit screening guests will enjoy a catered reception at the Pinnacle. The reception will be held before Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner greet the crowd. After the red carpet reception, attendees will have the honor of being some of the first moviegoers to view “New Moon”.

Wow. What I wouldn’t give to be there! I think it is awesome that Taylor and Kristen are doing this for charity. What a great way to raise some money for a great cause!
