PR Newswire reports that New Moon now holds the #1 spot over at Fandango for Advanced Ticket sales beating out some pretty big movies -

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ — With five more days before its November 20 release date, New Moon has already leaped over previous record-holders to become the top-selling pre-release title in Fandango’s ten-year history. The new record for Fandango’s fastest-selling film was set on Saturday night, November 14, shortly after 8:00 p.m.

The Top 5 Advance Ticket-Sellers on Fandango (as of November 15, 2009) are now as follows:

1. New Moon (2009)
2. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005)
3. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
4. The Dark Knight (2008)
5. Twilight (2008)

Not overly shocked though! I can’t wait to see the numbers New Moon brings in over its first weekend in theaters. And maybe some announcements that may come after

More NewMoonMovie.org readers have informed us of various countries that now have New Moon tickets on sale!

Sweden – tickets are now available for a Twilight and New Moon theatre experience! On November 19th they’ll be able to watch Twilight, and directly after (at midnight) they’ll have the midnight New Moon showing!

Belgium – New Moon tickets are now on sale in Belgium! And they get New Moon even earlier! On the 18th of November! You can purchase tickets here!

Germany – New Moon was to be released in January in Germany, however the date has been moved up and is now changed to November 22nd! And it will be  a double feature as they’ll play Twilight first! Tickets are on sale now!

Twilight Saga – New Moon fans in Canada are getting a special treat – there will be an advanced screening of New Moon on November 19th, at 10:00pm!

Tickets went on sale early last Friday at all Empire Theatre locations across Canada. Reports are now coming in that most theatres in Canada now have the New Moon tickets on sale, and are offering this advanced screening!

And yes – I got my tickets first thing!! weeeeeee! lol And I’m in the Atlantic time zone, we get to to see it an hour before Eastern, and 4 hours before Pacific!

We previously reported that some locations in the US are already selling advanced tickets to Midnight New Moon showings. According to Reuters.com a lot of those locations are selling out already -

Advanced tickets sales for Summit Entertainment’s sequel vampire romance “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” are going so well that online ticket vendors are reporting sellouts of the earliest showtimes at many locations. Nine weeks before the film’s November 20 release, MovieTickets is reporting more than a dozen “New Moon” performances as complete sellouts.

A Fandango spokesman said “New Moon” represents 57 percent of its recent ticket sales, with sellouts at some locations. By comparison, the coming weekend’s anticipated No. 1 picture — Sony’s 3D animated feature “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” — is the next most popular choice of purchasers at 9 percent of all Fandango sales.

Wow! To be honest, I’m really not surprised! Haven’t heard of tickets going on sale yet any where else. Anyone hear of any locations in Canada yet? Or in the UK? Any where else at all? If so, send them to the TwiTipLine at gmail dot com!

If you check the Fandango website and enter in Columbus, GA as your location, tickets are now available for the Carmike 15 12:01am show !
