Newmoonmovie.org has already got the jump start on hyping up the Twilight sequel, New Moon. For Twilight fans, newmoonmovie.org knows just what they want. And what they want is to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in sexy poses – maybe a bit more for Pattinson. Newmoonmovie.org gave them just that with the creation of some new posters for New Moon yesterday. The fact that they were Photoshopped and fan created didn’t matter that much.
Newmoonmovie.org is a leading website to update progress on the sequel, which is being helmed by new director Chris Weitz. Casting in some key roles is still in progress, with Dakota Fanning already signed on as a Twilight newcomer.
We first covered these Smirky-Turkey fan posters a month ago and EW is just now getting around to it, erroneously calling them “new”.

It’s time to vote in the 2009 Dazzle Awards! We are nominated in three categories– Best Twilight Fansite, Best Twilight Blog and Best Twilight Twitter.
One of my favorite Twilight sites, Letters to Twilight, started a fantastic feature last month where they look through their visitor logs and check out how people found the site. It’s a truly hilarious insight into some of the interesting things people are searching for in the Twilight universe–here are some examples from the article:

Inspired, I decided to take a look for some interesting search terms that people used to find this site as well. Ours aren’t quite as fanciful, but I still got a giggle out of these:
Join us tonight for another night of Twivia Tuesday! We had a great first week and a bit more hectic second week, but we’re ironing out the bugs and learning along the way on how to make it operate best. The festivites will start at 8pm EST and if you visit the NewMoonMovie.org Chat Room page, you’ll notice there are now two chat rooms–the one on the bottom is to be used exclusively for watching for questions and entering your answers while Twivia is being played, so all the chit-chat in the main room won’t drown out playing the game.
There should be plenty of mods and lots of fun tonight, so be sure to stop by and play–arrive a bit early so you can get accustomed to the rules that are linked from the chat page. There might even be a prize for the winner!

We’ve come up with a fun new event for Tuesday nights. It’s called “Twivia Tuesdays”, and will be hosted right here on the NewMoonMovie.org chat rooms. Tonight is the first night, so be sure to come! Each week a new Quiz Captain will ask a set of Twilight trivia questions, and any chat member is free to participate to try answering the trivia questions. The first to buzz in with the correct answer for each question scores the points–we’ll have more details on scoring tonight.
The fun starts at 8pm EST this evening, and should last for around an hour. We’ll have a scorekeeper to tally the winning scores, and the individual with the most points at the end of the game will receive an awesome prize [we'll announce the full rules tonight, but sorry, it can only be shipped to US/Canada--however people from all over the world are welcome to participate in the trivia!].
To prepare, be sure to sign up for a chat account at the Chatroll website in advance so you’re all set when 8pm rolls around–see you then!

We’re thrilled to share a new feature–the New Moon movie chat room! You can meet your fellow TwiFans, talk about all the New Moon gossip, and just generally goof off with like-minded friends.
The chat room will be open 24/7, but to celebrate the launch, we’re going to have a very special gab session tonight–Thursday, February 19 at 8pm EST–where everyone can meet up in the chatroom and have a blast, and talk one-to-one with yours truly and the rest of the die-hard fans that visit the site.
I have a very special surprise in store as well. Let’s just say that we’ll be giving away anamazing giftas a door prize to one lucky visitor to the chat room in a random drawing sometime between 8pm EST and 10pm EST, so you’ll definitely want to be there!
We’ll also be having a Virtual Viewing Partyduring the Oscars on Sunday, so you can get a play-by-play of all the Twilight action as it takes place in Los Angeles, and we can all squee together about the Robert Pattinson presenation and other potential Twilight-themed segments that have been hinted about as they occur. The Academy Awards start at 5pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern.
