New Moon stars Michael Welch and Peter Facinelli, who play Mike Newtown and Peter Facinelli, both agree that Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is quite a bit different than New Moon director Chris Weitz. Michael Welch says that–

“We have a new director, Chris Weitz. (He) was amazing. It’s interesting because between him and Catherine, they’re so different. Catherine is somebody who can only function at a cluttered desk. She needs chaos to success. That’s wonderful. Chris is the exact opposite. Just couldn’t be more cool, clam and collected and had his stuff together. It’s the people at the top that affect everyone below them — so the energy was more calm.”

Peter Facinelli agrees, stating that–

Catherine (Hardwicke) is a ball of energy and infuses passions when she comes on the set. Chris is more laid back, insightful and thought provoking. It’s completely different. It’s like two different rollercoaster rides, but you still love the rides. They’re fantastic.”

You can watch the Pilot Episode of New Moon vamp-dad Peter Facinelli’s new show Nurse Jackie starting today on YouTube for free. The Dr. Carlisle Cullen actor plays another doctor on the show, and Ivy league educated annoyance to the title character of Nurse Jackie.

The show begins airing next Monday, June 8th on Showtime. Also, scheduled for later today is the launch of Peter Facinelli’s brand new official website which was partially made by Twilight fans!

New Moon dads Peter Facinelli and Billy Burke were seen at the MTV Movie Awards Gift House checking out the star schwag in preparation for tomorrow’s show. New Moon vampire dad Peter Facinelli was spotted on a beast of a motorcycle yesterday in Toluca Lake, California. It is good to see he’s taking some time for himself now that he’s finished with his role on the New Moon shoot! Check out the article at RadarOnline. He was also spotted out for dinner with his wife, Jennie Garth, who is on crutches. The whole family went out for a fun evening as well.

Check out these new interviews with New Moon vamps Edi Gathegi, Kellan Lutz and Peter Facinelli where they chat about what to expect in New Moon. Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the film, says that we can expect a lot of new eye candy in New Moon–

The werewolves have taken over Vancouver. You have all of these new cast members who are really buff, good looking Native American guys. They are running around everywhere.

Kellan Lutz, also known as Emmett Cullen to fans, compares the process of creating Twilight to New Moon and seems to think New Moon is progressing extremely smoothly–

Nothing on New Moon has been crazy. For the actors it has been easy. We got to try new things with our characters which was great. I have to say that I like the New Moon screenplay better than Twilight. And it was really cool to see how Rob was incorporated into the screenplay.

A fan modded the Edward Cullen action figure into an action figure that vibrates, with an external battery pack. Jenifer, who made it, told her story to Pillowbiters about showing it off at TwiCon L.A.–

As for Vibrating Pocket Edward, I was the first of my entourage of girlfriends to ask for autographs, and being the sales person that I am, I came in w/my great opener: “Will you sign my Vibrating Pocket Edward?” Edi Gathegi was quite speechless and made a big show of putting anti-bacterial on, at which point Kellan Lutz asked if he was putting on lube.

New Moon stars Taylor Lautner and Peter Facinelli were spotted in Vancouver–Taylor Lautner looking a bit sleepy, Peter Facinelli at the airport to head out of town to EyeCon in Florida and other obligations. Eclipse Director David Slade was also seen arriving in Vancouver to scout locations and meet with production. Eclipse has begun!

Around the same time Slade came, Peter Facinelli left. We were actually on the same flight to Vegas. Not sure where he was going. I sat across the aisle from him. He was lovely to fans who approached for photos in the terminal and the only other remarkable detail I can give you is that while I was trying to write The Outcast book review, he was givin’er on his iPod, playing some game that required furious tapping and scrolling and shaking. It was distracting and hilarious and adorable, especially when he became extra spastic with the controller.
