A fan modded the Edward Cullen action figure into an action figure that vibrates, with an external battery pack. Jenifer, who made it, told her story to Pillowbiters about showing it off at TwiCon L.A.–
As for Vibrating Pocket Edward, I was the first of my entourage of girlfriends to ask for autographs, and being the sales person that I am, I came in w/my great opener: “Will you sign my Vibrating Pocket Edward?” Edi Gathegi was quite speechless and made a big show of putting anti-bacterial on, at which point Kellan Lutz asked if he was putting on lube.
New Moon stars Taylor Lautner and Peter Facinelli were spotted in Vancouver–Taylor Lautner looking a bit sleepy, Peter Facinelli at the airport to head out of town to EyeCon in Florida and other obligations. Eclipse Director David Slade was also seen arriving in Vancouver to scout locations and meet with production. Eclipse has begun!
Around the same time Slade came, Peter Facinelli left. We were actually on the same flight to Vegas. Not sure where he was going. I sat across the aisle from him. He was lovely to fans who approached for photos in the terminal and the only other remarkable detail I can give you is that while I was trying to write The Outcast book review, he was givin’er on his iPod, playing some game that required furious tapping and scrolling and shaking. It was distracting and hilarious and adorable, especially when he became extra spastic with the controller.
For those of you in the Southeast, Eyecon is going on in Orlando this weekend–Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Edi Gathegi and Twilight hand model Kimbra Hickey will be there.
It looks like tickets might still be available, so those in the area may want to check it out!
Did someone say “body massage“? Kellan Lutz, Edi Gatehgi and Peter Facinelli gave one nervous fan at the convention last weekend quite a treat–after she stumbled on asking a question, she got to sit in Kellan’s lap while receiving a back massage from Edi and a foot massage from Peter.
Sunday, May 3rd was the salute to Twilight convention. Though there’s been a lot of great footage from the event, I was particularly interested in this clip where Peter Facinelli reveals at last what he says in “that scene” where it’s difficult to make out what his character is telling Robert Pattinson’s character in the film. Twilight Treasury says–
You can watch the video yourself below, but here it is – On the first take he said ‘I’m sorry’, on the second take he said ‘ Be reborn my son’, and on the third and fourth take, he was getting bored, so said something along the lines of ‘Rob you’re so sexy!’.
Remember that story where Jennie Garth claimed to be upset because Peter Facinelli cooked for the New Moon cast but not for his wife, actress Jennie Garth? Well, like everything out of Mark Malkin’s mouth, it was a greatly exaggerated lie based on a grain of truth.
“Lets not try to make a ‘meal’ out of this,” he wrote in an email. “My wife was joking. The reason I stopped cooking so much is because she’s better at it. And most nights I take her out to eat anyway. She’s not ‘pissed off.’ So lets not try to stir up some controversy where it doesn’t exist.”
“Tell Marc I’m going to kick his ass,” he said. “Tell him if I see him, I’m going to kick his ass.”
Not to worry, Mr. Facinelli was joking.
And just like that, New Moon dad Peter Facinelli reclaims his title of perfect husband.
Peter Facinelli has revealed the scenes he has shot so far in New Moon–including the birthday scene, the voting scene, and the scene where he stiches up Bella. He note that he has a couple of more shots to do in May, then he’ll be done. Coincidentally, when he was visiting Disneyland with his family none other than Stephenie Meyer was there as well–
I saw Stephenie Meyer at Disneyland. We went to Disneyland – just randomly went to Disneyland with my family and we both were eating dinner at the [Blue] Bayou restaurant, you know, Pirates of the Caribbean. And it was so odd. She walked over and I was like, ‘This is too coincidental.’ But, I should have told her, ‘You know, why did you take the Cullens out of the second book so much?’ I did tell her, ‘You know what? I’m a little upset I didn’t get to go to Italy.’ I said, ‘Carlisle could have shown up in Italy.’”
People has a new interview with Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in New Moon. He talks about how much he enjoys night shoots for the movie, and one of the reasons is he can actually outlast his younger co-stars:
“I love night shoots. Everybody else is [tired] by like two, three in the morning, which is weird because I’m the old guy!” Facinelli tells PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past on Monday night.
“They should be the ones that should be like party hardy all night long,” jokes the 35-year-old of his young costars including Robert Pattinson, 22, Kristen Stewart, 19, and 17-year-old Taylor Lautner. “At five in the morning I was like, ‘I could go another 10 hours!’ And they were like, ‘Crash!’ “
He also talks about how many pictures fans took at his recent trip to Disneyland. Check out the rest over at People.
Here’s a new interview with Peter Facinelli at the premiere for Ghosts of Girlfriend Past were he talks a bit about New Moon–including how the movie is a little darker, and what he thinks about fans camping out to get a glimpse of the shoot.
It seems like New Moon VampDad Peter Facinelli is the perfect husband in just about every way–look how adorable he is giving a glass slipper to his wife Jennie Garth at a trip to Disneyland. They took the kids, but he found time to get the perfect shot with his wife, who damaged her foot around the house yet made the trip anyhow. Check out the rest of the pics at Access Hollywood.
