Check out this amazing New Moon movie poster by the incredibly talented Grodansnagel. It features the Volturi crew all joined together on one poster.
New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg dishes on her experience on the New Moon set in Vancouver in a post on her Facebook page. Apparently, everything is going phenomenally well–
Writing from the set of New Moon, a ridiculously happy place to be. Everyone is having a gas. Especially me. You’d expect at least one person to be snarky after working so hard for so long but I haven’t heard a single sour note.
Chris Weitz is the zen ringmaster doing a fantastic job. The Volturi look amaaaazing. Michael Sheen embodies Aro so completely, elevating the role to a whole new level. Dakota as Jane knocks me out. Rob and Kristen are gorgeous of course and and and… I probably shouldn’t gush so much, no one will believe that everything is perfect but it is!
It’s great to hear that everything is going so smoothly! I always had some concerns about the tight schedule of the movie, but it sounds like Chris Weitz is handling the pressure like a champ!

Check out this awesome New Moon poster by Grodansnagel, featuring Bella. You may remember the same fan artist’s jaw-dropping shirtless Jacob Black poster, as well. This one isn’t quite as lust worthy, but the level of craft and detail is stunning!
I’ve had some very common questions by email lately that I’d like to address–

UPDATE: Shoot. I forgot one.
- New Moon script leak!?
Yes, I know. Not going to cover it and prefer people didn’t chat about it on the site, either.
Are you wondering where the stars of New Moon will go to after they finish their work in Vancouver and Italy for the Twilight sequel? Jaunted has roundup of what some of the stars will be up to after they’ve finished their New Moon duties–
- New York City. Robert Pattinson, who plays the 104-year-old virgin Edward Cullen, will be shooting the romance “Remember Me” directed by Allen Coulter (“Hollywoodland”) and cowritten by “Rachel Getting Married”’s Jenny Lumet. What to tell your folks: You just really want to get into art, and where better to experience the art world than the galleries of Chelsea? Alone?
- Chicago and the ‘burbs. Kellan Lutz (Emmett) will be shooting the new “Nightmare on Elm Street” in the sleepy suburb of Barrington, Illinois — and they could need some extra scared teenagers! What to tell your folks: You’ve landed a sweet part-time job at the Taste of Chicago. Even if they think you’re faking it, how will they ever find you at the city’s biggest food fair?
- Vietnam. Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) will be shooting “The Last Airbender” for M. Night Shyamalan, in which he plays a stubborn teenage warrior opposite “Slumdog Millionaire”’s Dev Patel. What to tell your folks: Ooh. This is a hard sell! But there’s always the ol’ volunteering-to-boost-your-college-application excuse. Just make sure you actually volunteer somewhere so you have something else to talk about.

Here’s an awesome New Moon movie poster for Bella Swan. NMM.org reader James was kind enough to send me this fan art he made. The garnet/burgundy/purple shades match very well with the official golden New Moon logo, don’t they?
He promises a wallpaper on the way, in the meantime download the full-resolution poster here.

BuzzSugar has an article describing five reasons they are optimistic about New Moon–it’s interesting to read this type of thing from a non-fan’s perspective. They said that Twilight was a bit of a critical dissapointment:
The faithful flocked to theaters, but some folks new to the story left wondering what all the hype is about. I’m hoping the next movie in this saga, New Moon, will be an improvement over the first one when it hits theaters later this year. While I’m sure it’ll be huge no matter what, I’d rather it be good!
- A Freer Adaptation of the Book
- Two Words: Wolf Pack
- Cool Special Effects
- It Might Be Scary
- Quality Casting: New Moon has attracted some honest-to-goodness thespians like Michael Sheen and talented youngsters like Dakota Fanning. I think that says a lot about the strength of the script and the faith folks have in the direction this installment of the franchise is going.
Here is my list of reasons why I think New Moon might be good: “It’s New Moon.” Check out the rest of the reasoning behind their choices over at Buzzsugar.

16-year old Cameron Bright, set to play Alec in New Moon alongside Dakota Fanning as Jane, says that his celebrity status from landing a role in Twilight and other high-profile films hasn’t really changed him.
“If I didn’t live here, I think I would probably be that stereotypical actor. In Hollywood, everyone wants to be an actor and just flaunt it,” he said. “Here, they just don’t care.”
Bright, who lives with his brother Bryce, 19, and his mother, Anne, said being famous has its challenges.
“If I start a relationship with a girl and I tell one person in the morning, after lunch I get 30 e-mails: `Are you going out with so-and-so?’”
But Bright said he is ready for fame.
“When I signed up to be an actor, I knew if I want a career and to be famous, I’ll have to deal with fans – not only deal with them but they’re my lifeline. They’re the ones who are going to (see) my movies.’”
The article also says that Bright is signed on for the next three sequels of Twilight–confirming that he’ll be signed on all the way till Breaking Dawn. Check out the rest of the article at the Vancouver Sun.
