Twilight is nominated as Blockbuster of the year. While Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan, was nominated for Best Actress. Michelle Sheen, who plays Volturi leader Aro in New Moon, was nominated for Best Actor in Frost/Nixon and The Damned United.

Voting closes on August 28th, 2009. The results will be announced in October.

What if the cast of Twilight was totally redone with big-name actors? Television Without Pity takes a look at this possiblity and submits their dream cast for the saga.

Some of the choices include Emma Stone for Bella Swan, Henry Cavill for Edward Cullen, Jay Hernandez for Jacob Black and Evan Rachel Wood for Rosalie Hale.

This week’s Entertainment Weekly is all about vampires, with a picture of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen on the cover.

They choose they 20 Greatest Vampires of All Time–Edward Cullen comes in 4th.

There is also an interview with Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer.

The Vampire issue of EW is on newsstands as of today, July 31st.

The first ever Twi-Con Convention opened in Dallas, TX yesterday. Celebrated guests are – Christian Serratose, Peter Facinelli, Alex Meraz and Jackson Rathbone.

Fans of The Twilight Saga are very excited and pumped over the Twi-Con Convention -

“I drove from Kentucky. Yes!” An addiction. “I would have driven farther to see this.”

Or just plain crazy. Anna Mueller said, “I love my Twilight tattoo. It’s not just a fad.” One thing all these Twilight fans certainly are is devoted.

Cara Edmondson said, “It’s not just a book, it’s not just a movie; it’s a lifestyle that we’d like to live.”

The event wraps up with a Masquerade Ball. Which would be totally awesome. Any ideas as to what you’d dress up as?

If you couldn’t make it to San Diego, fear not–ETOnline is promising to stream coverage live from the New Moon event! –

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are in San Diego today to help kick off this year’s star-studded Comic-Con and ET is there for all of the fun! And starting at 9:30 am PDT, ETonline will be live streaming from the ‘New Moon’ trio’s press conference! Check back here then to see if they spill any ‘New Moon’ secrets!

It’s already 10:00am PDT and coverage has not yet started–keep checking back!

UPDATE: The live stream is going very slowly, but it’s working now!

10:03 a.m. How has Stewart changed? “I cut my hair off.”

10:04 p.m. Lautner’s grateful to the fans, “It’s awesome that we get to see them all waiting for us again a year later.”

10:05 a.m. “I pretty much live an almost identical life apart from being recognized and that’s not necessarily the worst thing in the world.” He adds, “I never did anything normal anyway. I just get other people to do it now.”

Trouble is brewing in the line for Comic-Con in San Diego! A group of girls were upset about people ahead of them holding places in line, says the LA Times:

A group of girls, who wanted to be called the anti-Twimoms, complained loudly to Elite security officers about people who were saving space at the front of the line, and older fans — or mothers of fans — who were cutting in line and camping out. The girls proceeded to say that it was also “creepy” that some of the women were so adamant about going to a panel to see a teenager (Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob – apparently the moms were on ‘Team Jacob’).

Security told them that each person was allowed to hold 3 spaces in line, and that that was a courtesy granted to them. “You are actually loitering, ” said one of the security guards. The girls countered by saying that if one person can hold 3 spots, then if one of those people came, then they could also hold three spots, and the line in front of them would increase exponentially.

More than 500 Twilight fans are camping overnight in a line so they won’t miss that New Moon panel in Hall H at Comic-Con Thursday afternoon.

The most dedicated fans started lining up two days early just to make sure they could get a front row seat to see Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and other stars of the movie. As the final night before the big panel begins now, there are already more than 500 people camping out to attend the most anticipated panel at Comic-Con.

Aura Reynolds and Liberty Griffen nabbed the first spot in the long line by getting here Tuesday night at 9 p.m. with their daughters Rebecca and Kristen. Their yellow and blue tent marks the beginning of rows upon rows of tents, chairs and blankets that form the twisting line outside Hall H, where the panel takes place at 1:45 p.m. tomorrow. The landscape looks like a giant family picnic, with bright-colored folding chairs and sleeping bags littered with black Twilight T-shirts and banners.

Check out the spontaneous celebration over at MTV, including an informal poll on what fans are hoping to see tomorrow during the exclusive New Moon footage. (Hint: It starts with “Volt” and ends with “I”)
