We’ve got a couple of reports in that New Moon is now filming at the set for Jacob Black’s house . However, security is super-tight and no pictures have surfaced yet–VancouverVamp has this to share–

I went by Jake’s house last night to see if I could get a few pics of Bella’s truck for my collection and they were full on filming there! I got to see Taylor and Kristen standing in black rain jackets being talked to a few of the set guys and the guy who plays Billy Black (Birmingham?) walking around in a white, blue and black polar fleece with his signature hat. I couldent snap any pics because the set was guarded by POLICE!!! They blocked off all of [redacted] and part of [redacted] in [redacted] for this but seeing that the set is on the corner of the cross streets I was able to slow down to look.

Another source shares a similar story, except she didn’t see Billy Black but saw the entire wolf pack.

Today my girlfriend and I went to go see if there was a chance we could watch while they were filming at Jacob Black’s house. But like the other person who commented on filming, we were not allowed anywhere near the set. The Police were there guarding it so there was no way we were going to get anywhere near it. But we were allowed to stand at a far distance and watch from there, not that we could see anything, and we were told not to take any pictures or to video tape the set. It seems like they are taking extra precautions, which makes sense, could you image the crowd that would form if they let anyone and everyone watch.

Holy hotness. Alex Meraz is just smoking. I think we’re going to have to make Team Paul the official choice of NMM.org, I am now ex-Team Switzerland. Lainey Gossip brings the Punkd pics again, and has this to say–

Hell-OH Alex Meraz. He plays Paul in New Moon – here he is photographed on the weekend in Vancouver. Hot. SO hot. Alex was overheard telling people that he’ll be the “bad wolf” in the movie. Bad is good. Bad works for me.

Also attached – Taylor Lautner and his flawless skin (how is skin like this possible???) enjoyed a beautiful sunny break in the day. Vancouver is spectacular when it’s not raining. Just… it rains a LOT. Anyway, Taylor and Kristen were running lines all weekend, prepping to begin shooting in earnest this week

The Calgary Herald shares the experience of five lucky Canadian teens (TwiNucks?) who happened upon the filming of New Moon in Tofino–

Timmermans and her friends hung around the set Thursday and spotted two of the film’s stars, Kristin Stewart, 18, and Taylor Lautner, 17, coming up a trail from the beach.

“They looked like they were filming the scene where Bella [Stewart] almost drowns because they were wet and wrapped in towels,” she said.

“[Stewart] came out of her trailer and said, ‘Hi guys, I’m Kristin,” recalls Timmermans, who teased the stars about being ill-prepared for the wild and wet West Coast weather. “I asked them where their gumboots were and they laughed … They had on nice Converse [and] Reeboks and designer jackets.”

Lautner, who Timmermans described as “100 per cent as cute in person,” offered to pose in pictures for the friends.

Timmermans’s friend Jillian Edwards, 16, said she was impressed by how friendly the teen stars were. “Kristin was so friendly and polite,” she said. Stewart told the group if it was up to her they could come watch the filming on the beach, but the area was secured by off-duty Mounties volunteering on the two-day shoot in exchange for a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock — an annual fundraising cycling trip from Victoria to the north Island.

It’s such a pleasure to report a positive real-life account with Kristen Stewart instead of an interview where she’s being asked the same dreadful questions by unimaginative reporters. Yay!

Twilight stars greet fans at Tofino film shoot

Bella’s truck was spotted at the set for Jacob Black’s house and garage, with two dirtbikes in the back of the truck. Twilight-Gossip captured these awesome pics and video yesterday. Looks like things are really heating up on the New Moon production near Vancouver!

A newspaper for the Tofino area has written a story about the filming of New Moon there, and it reveals some new details about the shoot–

“The weather is perfect for us: rainy, dismal, in the sense of the visuals, the mist on the ocean, the cloudiness, the erratic wind activity,” said Bill Bannerman, New Moon’s co-producer. “Everything is exactly what it should be.”

Under rainy, gray skies, filming kicked off Thursday afternoon at the rugged and rocky South Beach, located near Wickaninnish Beach inside Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

Cast and crew returned to South Beach Friday morning, before moving to Incinerator Rock at Long Beach, where Parks Canada closed down a parking lot popular with surfers for movie crews.

Bannerman said the crew needed to shoot a couple of scenes that would bridge the story’s second act and show the characters evolving personalities and relationships.

The New Moon crew appears to be filming near a Vancouver Tofino beach–and it just might be for the cliff diving sequence. We already know the cliff diving sequence will be spliced together with CGI, but this looks like a good backdrop to me! LaineyGossip has this to say—

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were in Tofino, British Columbia yesterday – where Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were married but not at that resort – shooting around South Beach and the Wickaninnish Inn. More of that is happening today. Rachelle Lefevre is said to be around too. Cliff diving, near drowning, and rescue…or something.

Robert Pattinson has been training for New Moon all week in Vancouver, if a new post on LaineyGossip is to be believed–

All week Rob Pattinson has been in Vancouver. He arrived via private on Sunday and had more makeup testing to do – something wasn’t quite right last week so they brought him back to tweak. Since the schedule changed, they decided that while he’s in town, they could start training him. Yes ladies. He’s training. He’s sweating. He’s working on that body. Or let that be your fantasy. Am told it’s primarily stunts……Rob is expected to be out of Vancouver imminently for Twilight DVD promotion.

See the guy in the back over Taylor Lautner’s shoulder in this Punkd photo? That is none other than Tyson Houseman, and we can exclusively report this after discovering a post on his talent agency website that confirms it is true. On the website, he is listed with a role in New Moon, and it also includes a headshot that shows he is identical to the person in the photo, making this 100% certain. On the agency website, it lists his specialties as snowboarding, skateboarding & guitar and his acting experience so far has been solely stage work.

To update the wolf pack stories from earlier, we’re erring on the side of Bronson Pelletier and not Oliver James appearing in the photo from earlier. We’re certain that we made the right call and Alex Meraz is in the picture. That’s two, and perhaps three of the wolf pack with positive IDs!
