VancityAllie captured some great pictures of the elaborate setup for a portion of the Bella cliff dive sequence in New Moon which will likely be composited with with the beach scenes shot in Tofino. Allie has this info to share–

This set is where they are filming the special effects green screen scene of Bella’s Cliff Dive in La Push in New Moon. Kristen Stewart, Rachelle Lefevre, Taylor Lautner, and Rob Pattison were all filming at the secret outdoor pool location today (just for the one day).

In this scene, Bella jumps off the cliff, a flash of Victoria is seen in the background, and Bella plunges into the ocean and sees Edward’s “face” underwater. She is then rescued by Jacob.

The crew had set up a complex special effects scene at the public outdoor pool with a number of layered green screens set up high above the pool. They also used a number of cranes and rigs to help block out the direct sunlight (it was bright and hot today).

A new set has been found in Vancouver–this one is a pool with an enormous green screen for later digital effects work. Could this be for underwater shots to composite with Bella’s fateful cliff dive? Malicious Mandy has the rest of the pics.

While it’s a bit hard to make out, here are the first pics of the New Moon Cullen House located in Vancouver. At first glance, the house looks very very different, with the exception of the multitude of windows and surroundings of trees like the house in Twilight. Vancity Allie has delivered a whopper of a surprise with pictures of the birthday outfits of the New Moon cast which she snapped after hanging out all night in the cold with three others at the set for the new Cullen House–which looks “quite like the one in Twilight”. Allie has a great report up at her blog, where she details the whole experience. I thought this part was awesome–

“We were just about to give up hope when some headlights blinded us and a white SUV pulled up… but instead of screeching off like normal… they SLOWED DOWN!

We saw Peter roll down his window…

And believe it or not… Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Kristen Stewart (Bella), and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) in full hair and make up got out of the van! Peter said, “We just have to get out and give you girls hugs for waiting all this time!” Hugs all around.

A reader over at TwiCrack shares these details after meeting Kellan Lutz, on the whereabouts of Robert Pattinson–

We met kellan this afternoon and he confirmed this is the last night of filming [at the Cullen House]. He leaves out tomorrow morning along with Esme and dr. cullen. rob is leaving soon too (sounded like this weekend) and heading to london for 1 week before going to italy to resume filming.

In other fan news, VanCityAllie–who brought the amazing cast pictures from the 100 Monkeys show, writes a tweet seven hours ago that says “Saw Rob, Kristen, Edi, and Rachelle tonight.. Only got blurry pics though. Cullen House looks neat. “, then, three hours ago–”Success… You will not believe the photos we got!”

Check out these new pictures and videos of the new set for Bella’s House. As we saw previously, they’ve completely rebuilt the house from scratch for New Moon instead of using an actual house like in Twilight. Lainey Gossip serves up a tantalizing new smorgasbord of New Moon gossip, focusing on two shoots that went down this week in the Vancouver area–a scene in the forest, and some scenes at the new Cullen house. Check it:

Monday this week, as I’ve already mentioned, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson were all on set by dawn. Very, very early starts to shoot on the edge of the woods. There’s a tense discussion between the three of them, then Taylor/Jacob leaves and wolf-transforms, then between KS and RP it gets kinda romantic as there’s talk of a wedding. Or something. They are shooting several options for a proposal, this is one of them – you’ll have to wait to see which they end up choosing.

Wednesday night and Thursday night it’s been evening shoots at the Cullen House, working until almost daybreak for all vampires and Kristen Stewart. More of the same tonight (Friday).
