Tom Lennon, who is also nominated for an MTV Movie Award for “Best Kiss” after he locked lips with Paul Rudd in I Love You, Man, claims kissing Robert Pattinson is “easy”–

“Pattinson, Stewart — no doubt some great Frenching going on, and I respect that, but for level of difficulty, if this was the Olympics, kissing Robert Pattinson is like a three on the difficulty,” Lennon told MTV News. “There’s no trick to doing that. I don’t know why you get awards for kissing Robert Pattinson. You’re not going to find anybody down in Times Square that’s gonna run up and wanna kiss me. Rudd did, and that’s points for difficulty.”

I don’t think this is judged like the Olympics–but good try!

No word yet on when the New Moon teaser that comes with the Blu-Ray of Twilight is due, since it’s a BD-Live feature that can be uploaded at any time, but here’s a reminder that tomorrow is the official release date of the huge Amazon Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Twilight. Texas Monthly has a great interview with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. She notes that, oddly enough, Twilight wasn’t originally supposed to in the Young Adults section of the bookstore–

When Stephenie wrote the first book, she didn’t expect it to go into the Young Adults section. Someone else decided that’s where it should go. She and I joked that, yes, you’ve got Romeo and Juliet, the two young lovers, but it doesn’t mean no one else can appreciate the play. It started out with the teenagers, but then it expanded—you know, you have the Twilight moms and the Twilight grandmoms.

David Slade, who was recently announced to be at the helm of the sequel to New Moon, Eclipse, was on the radio in November and offered some pretty brutal comedy about Twilight. The host asked Slade to tell a joke he had apparently posted at some point on Twitter–

   …and so yesterday we were trying to find a movie to see and we’d seen all the good ones, you know, and there was nothing really coming out this weekend that we really fancied at all and having directed a vampire film and really gone for something completely different to the kind of romantic, you know, repressed hormone teen vampire movie we really weren’t interested in seeing Twilight but a lot of people said lets go so I wrote -

“Twilight drunk? No, not even drunk. Twilight on acid? No, not even on acid? Twilight at gun point? Just shoot me.”

   [That’s like] a poem in a way [...] at this point excites me even though people think I’m a really violent and unpleasant person I actually do have this romantic violent side to me. Maybe I should have seen Twilight.

Granted, the (very hyped) host asked Slade for the Twilight bit twice after he admitted people may be offended by it, but you’ve got to wonder how different Eclipse will be from Twilight after these harsh words came from Slade.

There’s a sweet new interview with New Moon actress Tinsel Korey, who is set to play Emily in New Moon, about her upcoming film Mothers&Daughters.

“I know this is the pinnacle of where things are about to change for me,” says Korey, who hasn’t worked a day job since a brief stint as a waitress when she came to Vancouver from Toronto as a teen in 2002. “It was happening gradually but I just have an internal feeling that it’s about to get a little crazy.”

“I wasn’t even allowed to say I was in it for months,” she says. As well, Korey has stayed away from the Internet fan chatter.

“My agent is like, ‘You’re banned from the Internet, you’re not allowed to Google yourself, because people can be really mean.’”

Probably pretty good advice, but we’ll always be kind to ya, Tinsel!
