Well to be frank no one is sure if New Moon will see a release in India or not, and this whole STORY about the censor board it completely false, don't fall for it. The reason Twilight didn't get out here is because the distributor were asking for more money than Indian multiplexes could afford.

Well from one CREDIBLE source (IMDB.COM) I got to know that New Moon will be releasing in India on the same date as in US(20th Nov).

Well, I do in New moon and Eclipse. When I'm reading those I can't stop myself from crying out how much I hate Jacob Black, now and then.
He's such an ass. Just an amazing ass.
And anywho, Jacob tries to force her into a relationship which she doesn't want to be in. She loves Edward. I can't see why Jacob fans want to ignore that tiny little detail. That she'll always love another more than Jacob. So the whole existence of team Edward - team Jacob seems a bit foolish to me.
In Breaking Dawn I appreciate him much more. But then he's not that big an ass any more. And of course, the realisation that he didn't actually love Bella but Renesmee helps a lot.

And okay, Mike... That I just totally don't get.

For JAcob: HOw can you hate him? He's the one who helped Bella feel better after Edward left her. He's the one who made her laugh again, feel better again. He's her best friend. He wasn't pushy. He just fell in love with her and when you're really close friends it's hard to hide that little fact... I mean, Bella loves him too. NOt the way she does/did (She always loves E. but in the 2nd they're broken up) love Edward. But she does and it's hard for her to keep her feelings in order. But Jacob didn't do anything Bella HAted... So just let it be, guys. Let him be.
And for Edward... I really liked his character in the first book... But then, I didn't "love" Edward either. He's like really bossy and even a little mean to Bella like ALL the time... SO there' was a time I really disliked him and really hoped Bella would go for Jacob who's really kind to her. BUt with the end of the 2nd I kinda started to like Edward again.(babysteps- because he's still bossy)....
But all in all, I think the author did a great job evolving every Character (Yes guys, They're just Characters :) ) in its own perfect way and did a good job giving Jacob a good ENding. OMG, I really love these books.... Can't wait to see NewMoon.... =)

I completely one hundred percent agree with you. In all fairness to Jacob, however, Bella led HIM on. It wasn't his fault that he started to like her. Actually if it wasn't for Edward leaving, Bella and Jacob really would have had nothing to do with each other. Hey, I think that Edward and Bella belong together, they would go crazy without eachother. The part where Bella pulls over in the truck and just starts crying and can barely breathe hit very close to home for me since it actually happened to me when a guy I was engaged to left me. I've had tons of relationships and none of them ending ever affected me the way that when my fiance left me. My family told me that I was a zombie for nine months after that. I am a strong woman, but when someone you love that much, that is a whole part of you physically, emotionally, and spiritually, leaves you even the strongest people can falter.

If you are all real twilight fans you would see that if she hadnt been so weak there wouldnt have been a second book. thats the entire basis of it AND MY FAVORITE! so think about it...

I agree that women should be stronger, as people... but as far as Bella's character goes, Edward isn't just the love of her life, he's her soulmate. Throughout the saga I think SM was trying to show that Bella was born to fulfill her destiny as a vampire, she was born for the lifestyle... and when Edward left it was like he took her destiny with him. Adjusting to a new future would be a horrid thing to have to deal with... so yeah, she's weak, but I see why... not that I would ever act the same... just keep in mind, Alice saw her as a vampire, she knew what she COULD have (Edward, forever, just like she wants) but he took that away when he left.

I think that you pose a very good point about her being a little weak because she needs to learn how to rely on herself , but then again, all female characters in books don't have to be that way. Could you imagine losing the one thing in your life that means the ABSOLUTE MOST to you? I think it would be very difficult. She had never really experienced love that people should with her mother walking out on her dad and all and for her to let Edward into her heart and trust him was hard and when he broke that trust it crushed her. but i do definately agree with what you are saying just not to the full extent:)

No not really Love Story by Taylor Swift and New Moon didn't end the same way as Romeo and Juliet did if so, then neither Edward nor Bella should be alive in Eclipse and Love Story had a happy ending.

Both were BASED off of Romeo and Juliet. It is very easy to make these connections. Again, BASED off of it. The song and Novels that are being talked about here put a happier twist on the Romeo and Juliet story. The over all theme is what we are looking at here, not the exact story line.

you are absolutely right. the song has nothing to do with new moon or any of the books for that matter. the only way it is even based off of romeo and juliet is because of the title "love story." i think its sad that some people can think immature and shallow lyrics written in the taylor swift song can compare to the complex feelings and love triangles going on in the twilight saga.

I thought the same thing..... they do need to show Bella's friendship with Jacob is strong but at the same time i fear they'd make it look as though she was over Edward, when it fact that's not the case at all. I couldn't agree more - by trying to make a 2 hour movie - they cut out so much of the "chemistry" and development of the characters. We are all devoted fans who are going to see it, so they need to make it as long as they need to in order to keep the integrity of the book.

Heck, if Titanic, Matrix, Lord of the Rings, etc... can all survive with that long of a movie - by george the twilight series can! :-)

I honestly think the movie was a mess and kind of boring because everything was so hectic and thrown together, it felt kinda chaotic. The book was 10 times better than the movie, for sure.

I think Stephenie Meyer is stupid not to spend some of her money to help make new moon and the other movies good. She could have easily done the same with Twilight. Plus the actors should learn to read half of them didnt evan know twilight was a book!!! And they should have found someone better to play jacob, when I watched Twilight I could only picture Jacob as Shark Boy!!! Oh well, he cant play Jacob any more cause he's to short!!! :p

I admit.. After edward left in New Moon book, I would skip through pages and pages when it was just Bella and Jacob. I had to peek which page Edward is coming back inorder to calm myself down.. But after I finished all 4 books, I realized that I have to read all of the books over again. Since I know the ending, I read New Moon without skipping over any page. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO READ ALL OF IT TO UNDERSTAND BELLA and JACOB's RELATIONSHIP.. It was not a bad book. the entire SAGA is GREAT..

New moon, in my opinion was actually the best. I don't know what you're talking about! Calling it "bad"...
It had its dull parts but emotionally that was the strongest book of the series, besides twilight itself. Bella's despair is so overwhelming that you don't essentially have to be a very empathetic person to really feel her pain.
I guess for some the strong feelings of despair and hopelessness in new moon weren't very favorable but I really felt connected to the book because of how well it was written. Which is why its my personal favorite. Mrs. Meyer really did an amazing job with this "chapter"-so to speak- of Bella's story.

I also really enjoyed the near ending of Breaking Dawn. When Bella had come to except the fact that the Volturi would destroy her and Edward, but she would do everything in her power to save Renesmee, Jacob, Alice, Jasper, and any of the other survivors. Maybe i didn't like it, but (I'm sorry if this isn't making perfect sense) I did love it. Because of how connected I felt to the sotry. How much it hurt me just reading those chapters, thinking that they had no chance of survival. I had spent so much time wondering how the Saga would end that it really broke my heart to think that Bella and Edward would be destroyed. I cried so many times, its embarrassing. I have a few tears building just talking about it.

But still New Moon was my favorite. I can't really go into further detail as to why, its beyond me.

I know what you mean. I'm definitly on Team Edward, I've just always been intrigued by the passion Vampires are portrayed to have. But I have to say after reading all of the books, I love Jacob's character. It wouldn't be the same without him, and I LOVE Edwards understanding. I didn't skip, really, But I DID have to make sure Edward came back, lol.. I was pleasantly satisfied. Something about these books just make me crazy... I can't seem to put my finger on it. As far as the Movies go, I'm just hoping they stick to the story line, even if it's as basic as Twilight was. I have to say the only parts I can do without in Twilight are the two scenes of the bad vampires killing. I love the way he looks at her... I love the way she's so unsure of herself. And I LOVE the characters they chose. Because Robert Pattinson is not strikingly handsome, but I kind of feel like that was the point. It's not just you. It's me and everybody I know. Every person I know...who had read the Saga it's obsessed by it. it's like a drug to me...like a spell... I plan on reading the books again...because they are absolutely amazing... I know...me too...never been so obsessed by a book/movie like that in my life. and i'm a very rational person...but this book changed my life...in a sort of better way... I LOVE all the books but I wish there were certain scenes in the book that REALLY should've been in the movie. Scenes like, the Blood Typing, The meadow scene as described in the book and Edwards anguish at the end in the ballet studio!! It was sooo much more intense in the book. I hope for a great similarity in New Moon Movie and the book. Can't WAIT to see it.

I'll take a guess you read it once, New Moon needs to be read twice, I hated the first time, most of it anyway, but the second time I read it I loved. It's b/c the first time you read it you are freaking out that Edward is gone, but the second time around you know not to worry so you can appreciate the story. :) If I'm right and you did read it only once, read it again!!!

it's so funny to read al this because it's so recognizable. I too am a little obsessed with the twilight saga, although i'm not in the right agelimit. But then again does that matter?
I start reading twilight and was immediatley crazy about it. I didn't want the story to end. So I start looking on the internet for the other books because only the first book was translated in dutch. (I'm from Belgium) I ordered the books in english and read them three times.
And I too skipt the part without Edward in New Moon the first time. It was unnerving to think he wasn't in the story. The second and third thime I was more relaxed :) so i could read the hole book.
I hope the new moon movie comes out this year in Europe as well. It's still long to wait but if i have to wait until 2010 i go nuts!
I also hope that Stephenie Meyer continues writing on the book Midnight Sun. To bad that some leaked the story on the net before it was finished. I understand that the author puts it on hold for that. But i'm so curious to read Edward's story.

El libro New Moon, es un libro que narra la vida de Bella con su Edward en la segunda etapa de su noviazgo. Solo espero que en la pelicula, no solo hablen de las vidas de los protagonistas. Creo que las anecdotas de la vida de todos los Cullen tambien son importantes. Creo seriamente que si piensan hacer una lista de secuelas estilo Harry Potter, necesitan empezar a hablar sobre el como se convirtieron todos los vampiros, para que puedan tener mas oportunidad de impresionar con las futuras producciones. Jasper tiene una vida interesante al igual que Alice. Esmer a pesar de que siempre a estado aparte, no deja de ser interesante su vida, al igual la de Carlisle, Emmett y Rosalie.

yeah you're all right.... of all the 4 books, i like NewMoon the least because Edward left Bella and he has only few parts in the story... but i heard the scriptwriters are going to make some changes in the script and i hope one of them is making Edward's part longer just like in Twilight... i really cant wait for the movie... they just hasnt started filming it... its the most anticipated movie of 2009..

i completely agree. like harry potter, too; i dont care if they are 4 hours long, if they are as amazing as the books, then i will stay put. also, i dont think new moon was a bad book, it was just horrible because all the while, we feel bella's constant pain from losing edward. i just hope they don't try to make it like bella gets over edward or anything in the movie, or i will be pissed.

i cant wait for new moon and all of the other movies i cant wait for the seen in italy and when edward leaves bella and the voultori seen i just want to see the jane part even if it is dakota cause i like her as jane she is a good actress

i agree! she's a very mature actress for her age i'm sure if she gets cast as Jane she would blow us all away. besides she already fits the description - very young face, waif-ish, i just don't know if she'll change her voice and make it more child-like

i am super excited... i have the same concern as the producers do though... idk if they can portary bellas connection to jacob as strong as it is for edward. its easier in a book but in real life its gonna be a little harder! maybe it will release sooner like the other one but i doubt it... and everyone cross your fingers though they are already talking about eclipse they dont know if they can make breaking dawn... they have to computer generate a main character and they are afraid that it cant be done to the extent it needs too. they havent experimented with people that much when it comes to CGI!

i'm just worried that all the special effects will make the filming & post-production take longer and the movie gets released even later waaahh!! if you saw the making of Golden Compass that Chris Weitz directed they did so much CGI and New Moon is the same. maybe they'll give in to the fans and release it even earlier than Nov 09 that would be fantastic!! :)

I just finished reading NEW MOON yesterday and I was shocked the novel has no climax! It does'nt have the thrill of the TWILIGHT. What a disater it would be for a movie! Oh, I wish the director will find a way to make it somehow exciting...

New moon was just hard to believe that Edward did what he thought he had to do. It made him look human because of his actions. Other than that I thought it was awesome.

I have a big fear that the movie won't focus on the real relationship between Bella and Jacob and spend a lot more time than needed focusing on the Volturi-(to keep Edward in the movie more than he should be)----which would SCREW the importance of Jacob---in effect making Eclipse harder to understand...like I said earlier...I am real worried about this screen play....Who ever wrote the Twilight screenplay did the book no favors...You could have ripped that book into a million pieces and it was still SO much better the movie....Thats why I am afraid of New Moon... I don't want to even think what they are going to cut out....

really, jacob is has microscopic importance in new moon if you compare it to the fact that edward is trying to get himself killed! frankly if u think that eclispe will be hard to understand (via movie) encourage more people to read before they see

Okay, I have read this book 3 times now so maybe I am wrong but I thought the essence of the book was the relationship between Jacob and Bella--you know her personal sun-----the person that was the only good thing left in her life...How is that of microscopic importance? Edward trying to kill himself in Italy----only consumes 20% of the book. It starts on chapter 18-The Funeral and ends at chapter 23-the Truth. are all the other chapter on this book usless and need to be rewritten?. Hey I love the character of Edward of much as anyone--and it was devastating not having him play as big of a role---maybe the whole underlying role-(but on the surface he is not in this book as much). And I too hated to see Jacob moving in on Bella--it wasn't til Breaking Dawn that I actually liked Jacob---It would be aweful to rewrite the book of New Moon to make Edwards journey in Italy the main focus over the relationship forged between Bella and Jacob.. And--yet again take in mind I only have read them 3 times-(so I might of missed something)-but I got mainly from Eclipse that Bella is torn between her love for Edward and her "friendship" for Jacob...Yes there is the newborns and the the Volturi-and a lot of different of stuff that happens---but how is the scene before the the newborn fight going to make sense unless New Moon focus's on it. BUt thats just me---I am not being character basised--I just want the movies to be written as closely as to the books that is possible. I didn't read an entire book that focused on Italy and I don't want to watch a movie that does.

GO back and reread what I wrote---I never said I wanted it re written to put Edward in there more and leave Jacob out--actually I said the exact opposite! And I am talking about fictional characters in a book not actors....I found the character of Jacob, funny and wity, friendly and completely annoying---overly pushy. It wasn't til Breaking Dawn-hence when he became less pushy that I now adore the character. And personally speacking I don't care what "sharkboy" looks like with his shirt off---I just care if he can play the physhically complicated role that he has been casted for for hopefully 3 more movies..

so wht he needed bella to know that she loved him to not just stupid edward. edwards pushy to. for bella to marry him. its not jakes fault that bella is stupid and didnt realize she loved him. i mean if she never would have jumped off that cliff her and jake would b together.

ARG!! i'm SO sorry to be mean but I. HATE. JACOB. BLACK. Edward is just protective . i'd be bella any day and yes, i would leave jacob in the dust!

stephanie29 is right. About some things.
I too have read each of the books at least 3 times. The essence of New Moon is supposed to be Bella's relationship with Jacob. The fact that this is the darkest period of Bella's life (hence the title New Moon) and Jacob helps her to retain SOME normalcy in what's left of her life after it has been shattered by Edward leaving, is mostly the main focus of the storyline. (That and Bella's pain due to the love of her life being gone). The Volturi are extremely important but the part in Italy isn't the main part of the book. It just creates more suspense and a climax and it keeps you interested.
And, in my opinion, Jacob isn't of microscopic importance at all.
If you have read New Moon, Eclipse, or Breaking Dawn then you know that Jake is very important and many interesting parts of the book focus on him.
Jake has always been one of my favorite characters and I was very pleased that he was able to help Bella during the difficult periods of her life.
Jacob had very little importance in the first movie and it would be a shame to downgrade his importance further in the movies to come.
I would love for the movies to be written as closely to the books as possible which means Volterra shouldn't be the focus til the end of the book. Victoria is still a threat in New Moon too remember?

actually i didn't like Jacob in Breaking Dawn he was totally pushed in the background. i know he got imprinted and all but aside from that it was like he didn't have a role anymore there was no development in his character. i couldn't accept that he had totally moved on from Bella like she never happened! he was much better in New Moon & Eclipse :)

I kind of agree. Even though i HATE Jacob Black! I think that Edward going away is the biggest point in the book but learning that Jacob is a werewolf is probably important, too. Either way, the movies are in too much of a hurry for the viewers. Also, Jacob Black can go up his dog's butt, eat his way out and smell like crap the rest of his life before i feel sorry for him! Edward's leaving is a depression for Bella and Jacob makes her feel better. But he's a werewolf and that's important, also. Everyone that even cares about the saga could figure that out. the relationship between them isn't right to me. I agree with everything bella does except for like Jacob Black.

I think new moon was the slowest book out of all of them, but you have to admit, its a necessary part of the story. It fills you in on all of the warewolf background and it gives you the feeling for the relationship between Jacob and Bella. This book was my least favorite out of all of the books, but I dont think the story would be as good without it!

And I too hated to see Jacob moving in on Bella--it wasn't til Breaking Dawn that I actually liked Jacob---It would be aweful to rewrite the book of New Moon to make Edwards journey in Italy the main focus over the relationship forged between Bella and Jacob.. And--yet again take in mind I only have read them 3 times-(so I might of missed something)-but I got mainly from Eclipse that Bella is torn between her love for Edward and her "friendship" for Jacob...Yes there is the newborns and the the Volturi-and a lot of different of stuff that happens---but how is the scene before the the newborn fight going to make sense unless New Moon focus's on it. Okay, I have read this book 3 times now so maybe I am wrong but I thought the essence of the book was the relationship between Jacob and Bella--you know her personal sun-----the person that was the only good thing left in her life...How is that of microscopic importance? Edward trying to kill himself in Italy----only consumes 20% of the book. It starts on chapter 18-The Funeral and ends at chapter 23-the Truth. are all the other chapter on this book usless and need to be rewritten?. I can't wait for the movie to come out. Like many of you, New moon was my least fav out of the saga but I still like it. I had to read it 2 times back to back. The first time I was so mad at Edward I didn't really pay attention to anything til he came back. I came to appreciate Jacob's role the second time i read it.

It had its dull parts but emotionally that was the strongest book of the series, besides twilight itself. Bella's despair is so overwhelming that you don't essentially have to be a very empathetic person to really feel her pain.

I guess for some the strong feelings of despair and hopelessness in new moon weren't very favorable but I really felt connected to the book because of how well it was written. Which is why its my personal favorite. Mrs. Meyer really did an amazing job with this "chapter"-so to speak- of Bella's story.

How much it hurt me just reading those chapters, thinking that they had no chance of survival. I had spent so much time wondering how the Saga would end that it really broke my heart to think that Bella and Edward would be destroyed. I cried so many times, its embarrassing. I have a few tears building just talking about it.

New Moon was a totaly awesome book! ^_^
I think all of the books are good and i have no favorite.
I didn't like the twilight movie as much as i thought I would
because Kristen looked like a hoe unlike the Bella described
on the book but the rest of the actors were picked out nicely
and an other reason was because they missed a lot of
important parts.
I hope new moon does not bring any disapointments!

I was not fond of New Moon, Jacob's character makes me kinda sick & always has. Then again i am not that fond of Bella's character in the books either, i much prefer the Bella on screen.

I'll DEFINENTLY see New Moon because well, the books are a drug for me.lol, however i want ALL 4 BOOKS DONE INTO A MOVIE!!!!!!!!! I want Forever Dawn published, too. I'd do anything to see that one hit the shelves!!!!

It didn't seem fair, for true love to end that way. But we all know what happened and I think it was the best way to end the best love story eva.

GO back and reread what I wrote---I never said I wanted it re written to put Edward in there more and leave Jacob out--actually I said the exact opposite! And I am talking about fictional characters in a book not actors....I found the character of Jacob, funny and wity, friendly and completely annoying---overly pushy. It wasn't til Breaking Dawn-hence when he became less pushy that I now adore the character. And personally speacking I don't care what "sharkboy" looks like with his shirt off---I just care if he can play the physhically complicated role that he has been casted for for hopefully 3 more movies..

ok new moon was definetely one of the best books ever.. i can understand why people wouldn't like it because it is devastatingly sad and people aren't used to not having Edward's dazzling personality and of course looks to lighten up the book.. we just cant handle not having edward in 75% of the book but im glad Stephenie changed it up a little and had us keeping turning pages for more. its all worth it when he comes back though.. cant wait for the movie and Chris Weitz better not screw it up!!

I wasn't really crazy about the book. All I keep wanting was to see where Edward was.
I'm glad it had a good ending. I did feel a little sorry for Jacob though.
Can't wait for the movie.

I cant wait for New Moon to come out in theaters!I am sad Robert/Edward wont be in it as much though.But as long as he is in the third abunch i am perfectly finnnnne!
