I think that Almost Lover by a Fine Frenzy is good. I'm not posting lyrics but there is a part where she says "you sang me spanish lullabies" and edward wrote bella a lullaby... the main lyric that made me think that is kind of the title, in a way its coming from jacobs perspective like, he will follow bella into the dark, into whatever situation she gets into but. Then the opening line is " love of mine, someday you will die, but i'll be close behind, i'll follow you into the dark" this fits because edward doesnt want to turn bella yet, or ever really and he would end his life after her.

Animal I Have Become would be good possibly for when Jacob is recognized as a werewolf, but also would be good in Breaking Dawn since Edward blames himself for Renesmee almost killing Bella.

I bought 'Only By The Night' just after I started reading New Moon and have always linked the two in my head, I've thought this for a while actually! Where would you have them play it?

When I first heard Closer, before I knew about the vampire connection and before I saw the mvids on Youtube, I was saying how this song would be perfect for B/E.

I also like the idea of Anywhere by Evanescence. It's one of those songs that will work well in the love triangle betwixt Edward/Bella/Jacob. Both Jacob and Edward feel this way about Bella. And we all know Bella feels this way about Edward.

as amazing as all of these options are, i think we're thinking too mainstream. the music from the other movie was like indie-ish [haha, even though that's how the movie started out], but they still fit perfectly. and it allowed us to see how truly awesome those other bands are and as much as i hate unoriginality, i hope the soundtrack coordinator stick with the same twilightmusic genre :D

I totally agree with Good Enough from Evanescence! There are actually several tracks from their Open Door album that seem meant to be for the Twilight Saga!
I also just heard SWEET DREAMS by Beyonce, and while I do think it is way too 'mainstream' for my tastes and vision of Twilight, the Lyrics are way too perfect... I don't have them to type out right now...check it out though :)

for one, that was already in a movie soundtrack: for the punisher. however, there are several evanescence songs that fit beautifully with the entire series.

someone on here mentioned "breath" by breaking benjamin; it's on my playlist that i listened to while reading the books. i immediately thought it was perfect for new moon after reading/hearing simotaniously.

also, while i think that the soundtrack should fit more towards the muse, radiohead, paramore, linkin park type of music (def no jonas bros, taylor swift, etc! bleh!), there is a kelly clarkson song that i always thought was perfect for how bella feels about edward/her hearing his voice: it's called "addicted". i won't post the entire lyrics, but it does fit quite well. one line: "i'm hooked on you, i need a fix, i can't take it, just one more hit, i promise, i can do it, i'll handle it, quit it, just one more time, then that's it, just a little bit more to get me thru this." fits perfectly with how she keeps needing to hear his voice.

I don't think that song would be good for New Moon. No offense, but Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, and all the disney people's songs won't fit in the movie. They're so happy and light and New Moon is kinda dark. The music should be at least. That's how the book is.
