ReelzChannel’s Naibe Reynoso for Hollywood Dailies interviewed Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning at the Sundance Film Festival on working together during New Moon and The Runaways.
Here’s an AWESOME fan encounter with one of our newmoonmovie.org readers at the New Moon premiere in Los Angeles last November!
I just thought I’d share these photos with you, my name is Emma from Australia and I won a competition to the premiere of New Moon in LA back in November. I took my good friend Kathryn (who is also a huge Twilight fan) and we got to go to the after-party and managed to get some awesome pics with some of the cast. I couldn’t get over how lovely and down-to-earth they all were and very willing to have fan pics with us! Nikki Reid and Anna Kendrick were especially lovely, spending the time to talk to us and answer our questions (which I’m sure they have heard thousands of times before!).
We got to meet more of the cast in the actual movie theatre, including Robert Pattinson *swoon* who was just as gorgeous in person as he looks on camera. It was honesty the best night of my life and it still feels like a dream but I’m so glad I got the opportunity and also got to meet so many other Twilight fans that will be friends for life.
Congratulations Emma!! Lucky lady! That is amazing. Great pictures! I just love our Twilight cast.
Thank you Emma for sharing your story and pictures with us!
Check out the rest of Emma’s pictures after the break!
The world became a little less brighter yesterday when we learned sadly that actress Brittany Murphy passed away at the young age of 32. For those of you who may not know who she is, she starred in various movies such as: Clueless, 8 Mile, Just Married (one of my all time fav movies), Riding in Cars With Boys, Up Town Girls, the list goes on!
Various Twilight Saga stars spoke out about the sudden death of Brittany via twitter -
New Moon-er Dakota Fanning (aka Jane) also spoke out about her Uptown Girls fellow cast member’s death -
My thoughts go out to her family & friends. I am just very grateful that I had the chance to work with her.
I truly thought Brittany was a great actress and enjoyed every movie she was ever in. Such sad news! The cause if death has yet to be determined. Various theories are out there via Gossip Rags. However, I choose not to believe anything until the Coroner’s office makes their official statement.
Today the world lost a little piece of sunshine ~ Ashton Kutcher
RIP Brittany Murphy – November 10, 1977 – December 20th, 2009.
According to indieWIRE, Apparition (financed by River Road and produced with Linson Entertainment) picked up the U.S. rights to The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Joan Jett may perform at the Sundance Film Festival as well.
Here’s the deal. As excited as all of Stewart’s Twilightfollowers are at the prospect of seeing her as groundbreaking rocker Joan Jett—both Stewart-starrers The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys are the most scheduled and visited films on the Sundance site—this is a low-budget indie movie made for less than $10 million. The music picture barely got finished in time to show fest programmers, and will be mixing right up to the delivery of a wet print at the festival, which opens January 21. The good news: Apparition chief Bob Berney can use the fest as a launch pad for the indie film’s March 19 release. And yes, it looks like exec producer Joan Jett will do her best to perform there.
I really really want to see the Runaways! It’s released one week after Robert Pattinson’s film Remember Me is premiered. Movie week with Kristen and Rob!! LOL!
How awesome would that be if Joan Jett performed at Sundance Film Festival! What if Kristen Stewart performed with her?! AHHHHHH! Wishful thinking. Gah, I wish I could go to Sundance.
Here are some New Moon promo interviews with director Chris Weitz and cast Ashley Greene, Dakota Fanning, Kristen Stewart, Michael Sheen, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.
Kristen Stewart’s upcoming movie The Runaways will be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January as well as her other film Weclome to the Rileys. Here’s a new photo and synopsis of The Runaways.
Of all the bands to come out of the 1970s Los Angeles music scene, The Runaways are by far the most uniquely fascinating. This is partially due to their music but more so to the fact that they were teenage girls whose wild and reckless lifestyle was the stuff of legend.
Focusing on the duo of guitarist/vocalist Joan Jett and lead vocalist Cherie Currie as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record-label woes, the film chronicles the band’s formation as well as their meteoric rise under the malevolent eye of an abusive manager.
Acclaimed video artist Floria Sigismondi directs from her own script and her luscious camerawork captures every sweaty detail—from the filthy trailer where the women practiced to the mosh pits of Tokyo. What really makes the film cook are the sizzling performances by Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. Not to be missed, The Runaways is an ode to an era and a groundbreaking band.

I am floored with this photo of Kristen and Dakota in The Runaways! They look awesome!
Kristen Stewart will be the star of not just one but two films premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in late January 2010.
The already announced Welcome to the Rileys will be joined by Kristen Stewart’s The Runaways , a biopic where she plays the legendary late 70’s rocker Joan Jett. New Moon co-star Dakota Fanning plays alongside Kristen Stewart in the film.
To showcase the diversity to contemporary independent cinema, the Sundance Film Festival Premieres section offers the latest work from American and international directors as well as world premieres of highly anticipated films.
The Runaways / USA (Director and screenwriter: Floria Sigismondi)–In 1970s LA, a tough teenager named Joan Jett connects with an eccentric producer to form an all-girl band that would launch her career and make rock history. Cast: Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Scout Taylor-Compton, Michael Shannon, Alia Shawkat, Tatum O’Neal. World Premiere

Jamie Campbell Bower (aka Caius), Dakota Fanning (aka Jane) and Michael Sheen (aka Aro) interviewed each other on Moviefone’s Unscripted. They asked questions from fans and each other.
I loved it! These Unscripted interviews are the best!
Dakota Fanning (Jane) appeared on the Jay Leno Show last Thursday night to promote New Moon. Dakota had to ‘earn her plug’ and was quizzed on the Twilight Saga. Of course Dakota passes and shows a clip from New Moon.
