Tinsel Korey (aka Emily) expresses her thoughts on why those should watch the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon and donate. 

Why should I donate? I don’t know anyone in Haiti. Those are things people might be saying to themselves.

People were wondering why I’ve been trying so hard to help out with this telethon. I don’t know anyone in Haiti personally. The only relation I have to Haiti is from listening to Wyclef’s music for years; the vibrancy in his beats and the poetic sounds of his words have always captured a part of my soul. Haiti, from what I’ve read and heard, has long been a place of struggle. So it’s more heartbreaking to think that in an instant, it has become even harder.

Many thousands of people are believed to have died in last week’s earthquake, and thousands more were injured. Governments have sent in aid from all over the world, but it’s still not enough. Then the aftershocks hit, more buildings came down, and more people were hurt. Many of us watched, feeling helpless as image after image and video after video flashed before our eyes. So what can you do?

Donating money can help get medical supplies, food and shelter to people who are without the basic necessities. As a global society, it is our job as human beings to help one another in times of struggle and times of need. Haiti needs us — right now.

While searching for some news I came across this picture of Chaske Spencer and his New Moon imprintee Tinsel Korey that I haven’t seen before – so enjoy!

I love that all the cast seem to have bonded so much and hang out together and I think Chaske and Tinsel actually make quite a cute couple…and they are both single! (Sorry all you Chaske lovers…. IH2 don’t hate me!)

Lets start with Tinske, Chansel….come on guys help me out my brain is clogged up with the flu!

Our very own newmoonmovie.org ladies, xHelloKitty99x, *PB*TeamSoapInMileysMouth and CullenChick, were gracious enough to share their story of meeting some of the New Moon cast at the Fantasy Twi-Life Tour convention in Ft Lauderdale, Florida last Saturday.

We were lucky enough to meet Chaske Spencer, Tinsel Korey, Justin Chon, Daniel Cudmore, and Gil Birmingham, who were kind enough to do a Q&A session. Tyson Houseman didn’t do a Q&A but we did get to see him during the autograph session.
 
The actors were all absolutely amazing to the fans. Chaske is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I let him know that all his fans adore him and that in my eyes no one else could’ve played Sam. (He gives the best hugs and called some of us “love”!) Tinsel and Justin were hilarious and very random. Daniel is extremely tall and very charming. Gil was one of the best parts of the convention! He can honestly make anyone love him. Someone asked him to describe to us what he would look like if he were to phase into a wolf and he said, “A wolf in a wheel chair”. We seriously had an unforgettable time. They all made us fall in love with them even more than we already were.

Chaske Spencer and Tinsel Korey gave an interview to Take40.com in Australia.  Chaske and Tinsel talked about how they got the role, paparazzi, Alex Meraz and Taylor Lautner dances off… plus much more!

Here’s a short transcript of the interview:

“Alex and Taylor were doing these dance offs…” she tells take40.com.

“Like a Michael Jackson video!” adds Chaske. “Taylor won,” Tinsel went on. “I love the Alex but Taylor won!”

Tinsel said there was a lot of testosterone on set. “They’re always showing off their muscles!”

“Yeah it’s kind of embarrassing…” Chaske says. “We’re in the make up room… and all of us are trying to check out our muscles going ‘We could work a little more on this… probably could lose a little more weight on that’”

“Coz they have to pay attention to that stuff, it’s not a vein thing. They’re supposed to be those massive werewolves,” adds Tinsel.

I Love Wolves, RIMR_, WolfPackChick, and JacobIsMyHeroin (me!) met up from all corners of the country to attend Twi Con in Chicago last weekend.  We are all avid NMM.org and EM.org fans, this is where we all first met and became friends!  None of us had ever met anyone from the site in real life before, but we took a chance and decided to go on this crazy adventure together.  It turned out so great; we had an amazing weekend and wanted to share our experience with everyone.
