Man. I already see a movie screw up. If I remember correctly, Bella's birthday cake is supposed to big HOT PINK. Not PUKE GREEN. Gosh, can't they at least stick with book, on the littlest things..? I guess not.

I honestly couldn't care less about the cake. Pink or green? Big difference! The story is what matters. That's what we should watch for to see if they get it right or not. The freaking cake could have gone away and been replaced with pizza for all I care. And I would hope that the rest of the fans would think the same. Cake. Who cares? Edward and Bella. We allllllllll care.

I do have to agree: as long as the main parts of the story don't get changed like Edward or Bella or Jacob, then who cares what color the cake is.

Everybody keeps talking about the color of cakes and when Jacob actually changes and the clothes Bella is wearing. Did anyone notice that the entire scene with the Voluturi is all wrong. Except for Jane using her powers on Edward, there was no fighting...it was actually a rather peaceful confrontation. I don't mind, a little more action will make it enjoyable to watch....but if we are going to complain about semantics....lets complain about the big ones not the little ones.

Well actually if u look at her clothes they are different.
And if you see the new official one thats in bandslam you can tell its when paul turns into a wolf.
I say forget the cake and worry about the acting and how they inturrpet the characters.

really, jacob looks far much better than edward in movie(they shud hav reversed their roles), though he was supposed 2 be very gangly and somewhat dangerous-looking in the novel.... nd if u see the stills of that cake incident , i think the only ones who showed some response were jasper,edward nd bella ; nobody else registered a change in expressions or responses.....nd rosalie luks lik hell....she was supposed 2 b a beauty, but i guess they made it wid a cheaper option...:))

Well, in the end, it doesn't really matter what the cake looks like. I think, there are many elements they can't leave like in the book. I know that for us fans, it would be the best to have a 20-hours-epic with all the details and everything. But in the end, they have to cut it down to a 2-hours-movie which has to be appealing and keep up the pace. I think they did it quite good with Twilight, although I missed a little bit more conversation between Edward and Bella. But a good example of movie-storie versus book-story is how she finds out about the Cullens. It's actually Jacob who tells her. In the movie, they had to make it more interesting. It wouldn't have worked otherwise. But I totally get your point.

I totally agree about the cutting the conversation out. I wish they would've had more but you can kind of see that in that weird montage they did of them talking in her bed, and then in the tree. I agree with a previous person who said that more Edward is good. I personally didn't love New Moon just because Edward was hardly in it and because Bella was soo depressed. I mean I was reading that book and it totally got me down. Plus I mean I'm totally team Edward so too much of Jacob bothers me! lol

I agree 100%. They did a very good job with the movie.. Though I read all of the novels before the movie came out, My boyfriend (who is neither edward OR Jacob :) ) wanted nothing to do with them, since he's seen Twilight and the trailer for New Moon, he came to me and asked to borrow my novels.

The more humorous part of that scene is I saw on a video where they slowed in down when she was diving to the ground & her bright red thong is hanging out.

if you notice and you have too look closely when she is in the woods she has a back pack on and when jacob changes in front of her and she falls on the ground she isnt wearing one...so i think at the time she already knows he is wolf...dont judge to harsh you have no idea what the movie is gonna be thats why it is called a trailor they want you on the edge of your seat wondering whats going to happen

In the book there are 5 wolves, not 3. I think that transformation scene is going to be when Sam and the others find out that Bella knows and then Paul gets mad and wants to attack her. They'll probably change it around or something - not like the book. That seems like the only thing that makes sense.
He's a wolf in front of her only 2x's in this book - when they attack Laurent and when he pushes Paul away. So this must definitely be the Paul scene like I said.

it's only the trailer and therefore clips from all parts of the film and if you looked closely when bella is with laurant she's wearing a grey cardy yet when she's running away and shouting to jake she's in a brown jacket. which i think prooves that it's two totally different scenes therefore dont jump to conclusions and start complaining just cus you havent bothered to look properly. :)

look closely to Bella's outfit in the Laurent scene and then look at it when Jake turns into a wolf...it changes so that means Jakes not changing to save her from Laurent but from something else... maybe Paul.

That is two different scenes put together for the trailer. She's wearing different things. When Jacob changes in front of her it might be when he gets in a fight with Paul.

OMG PEOPLE for the meadow/wolf scene were bella is in the meadow and then jacob transforming into a wolf are 2 completely different scenes(notice different outfits on bella and the locations are different....meadow...then jacobs house...doesnt make sence)...They probably didnt want to show all the whole part at once for the preview but they wanted to show jacob as a wolf so they prob took a scene from later on in the movie trying to make it look like it was all one scene for the the preview but its not....get it??? chill out people, see the movie 1st before you complain!!!!!!!!

The trailer is showing two different seasons...they show Bella with Laurent in the meadow. The scene after that is when Bella first see's Jacob turn into a wolf when he fights his friends. It's not all one scene.

They are just showing us parts of the movie, just because they are showing it a certain way doesnt mean that is the sequence.

It's disappointing that even in the trailer they can't get the timeline of Jacob's transformation and how it's not Jacob alone that protects her in the woods its the entire pack that descends from the woods that scares Laurent off. I have a feeling that the Movie is going to be a big disappointment to the fans of the book. I'm curious how the voltari scenes will play out.

I agree with y-lisetwilight .... would it have been so hard to make the cake pink? In the scheme of things, it really is just a LITTLE detail, but those little details can really get bothersome, especially when there are so many of us who are such fans of the books.
I understand sometimes movies have to change up what happens in the books, for the sake of time and visual effects. However, it seems like they sometimes just change things for sake of change.
For instance ... these are just a little things and I KNOW it's just details ... but somehow, that just makes it MORE annoying .... but in the Twilight movie, the kitchen cabinets were green, they had a dishwasher and no one cooked. Now, it shouldn't have bothered me. That had nothing to do with the big story, but it DID bother me. Would it have been so hard to have yellow cabinets like in the book?

maybe they dropped the pink cake before filming, and that's all king soopers had. and maybe the yellow cabinets looked green because the filming has the gray overcast to it, so they chose a different color?

However, what does matter to me, is that in the meadow, when Laurent discovers Bella, his eyes are BRIGHT red which shouldn't be the case.
He's supposed to be unbearably thirsty and thirsty vampires have DARK eyes.

N for that matter did u see twilight? umm hello that movie was so far from the book it wasnt even funny. but i bet u still went and saw it and you probably own it at this point but i bet u can pick out all the flaws with it as can i... so with that being said what could you really expect with full moon. n what are you expecting of eclipse??? in case your wondering it will probably... jus a guess...b a little different!!!!

In one of the trailers you see Bella punch one of the wolf brothers... Anyone who has read eclipse would know that Bella punching a wolf in the face is not a good idea! I just wish film makers would read all the books before making the films so they dont make mistakes that will make future films difficult.
Oh and can someone point out where in the books Edward has a fight with the Vultori? There is no fight in that scene in the book, I know the film makers just wanted to make it look better for the screen, but that dont happen!

I have not read any of the Twilight saga books, but I doubt very much it would've spoilt my viewing entertainment anyway, great films and I hope there's more to come. And btw I do love reading but not about whiney little opinions about the Director missing minute details from the book...get a life, if you don't like the film fair enough, stop being so fickle and go read the book again!

Harry Potter is sooo off the books that it's hardly funny. Fans like them because they are still interesting and they understand that movies have to be different for time and attention spans.

Ok then, forget Harry Potter. Twilight had so many amazing shots that would have been amazing on T.V. but they didn't include it. The movie had shots and lines from the 4 books... Twilight through Breaking Dawn. I liked even loved the movie when i first saw it, but now I'm a little disappointed. I'm really looking forward for New Moon, i don't know, I have a feeling i will disappointed by it too.

I wasn't happy about the Harry Potter thing either, The directors/producers/ and screen writers are getting to the poit of excluding important scenes to make room for scenes that never took place in the book. Hopefully things like that will not happen within the Tiwilight movie franchise. I understand that in reality, certian sacrifices have to be made and film will be lost on the cutting room floor...but it is my dearest hope that they will keep in mind that as popular as the series is, leaving out critical details or ading new material that deviates from the books, can confuse those few million people who haven't read the books but have watched the movies.

Harry Potter is not done by the book, the movies are so light hearted and the books are so dark, that is why there are so many people who are not fans of both. Maybe you should try reading the books again and then watch the movies. Honestly, there are going to be differences, the movie lines cannot follow the books exactly because there isn't enough time to do so. You can put down a book and pick it back up later. I don't want to sit infront of my tv or in a theater for eight hours like I did the books. Atleast they aren't destroying the plot and the whole story line like they did with the Stephen King stuff. And a lot of stuff that he did was release over several days on television.....

With the exception of the character names there is very little about the Harry Potter films that is the same as the books. You could make a couple of completely new films just from the bits they missed out!

harry potter movies are as loosely based on the book as the twighligh series are, i think you should re-read harry potter and watch those movies again. we love both for bringing the essence of the book to life not the details.

im pretty pissed that they didnt even get the vampire attack right. : ( she was in the woods trying to find her and edwards secret little medow not a feild that looked like the one they played baseball in in the last movie, and jake didnt turn wolf like right in front of bella. i do want to see it though cause jake is hawt!! : D its just the fact that they cant get the movie right with the book.

Just so you know the part where jacob turns into the wolf in front of her and laurent, its not the same part, they just made it look like that in the trailer...the part that that actually is for is when Sam is about to attack bella and jacob turns into the wolf and fights him to protect bella and that really does happen, so it IS like the book...I dont get why everyone is complaining, its the damn trailer, they throw a bunch of clips together so of course its going to be different...I wish everyone would just stop until they actually see the movie...i mean your twilight fans and havent even given it a chance yet, damn! they are just fanmade trailers, they have to use what they can get cuz they dont have the scenes from the new movie, so they use clips from different movies and that's what makes them look so cool! dont expect to see anything from the fanmade trailers in the movie.

I actually like the accent. I do agree that some of the best parts of the book were missed in the movie. I don't know about anyone else, but in the book, both bella & edward were drawn together and in the movie, they had to work at it. I liked the movie, but was disapointed. I heard that Twilight was made on a low budget. I'm hoping that with the popularity, New moon is going to be better, just watching some of the trailers it looked good. I love the last book!!! I think it's the best!!! Yea, the footage was from that movie and the wolves running was from Blood and Chocolate...the fan used other film footage and just spliced it in, but it made for a cool trailer nonetheless!!

i SO agree with what you said about how they had to work on it. it seemed so inevitable that they would get together in the movie, but i the book it was inevitable that they WOULD get together. and yeah it was an indie film; totally low budget with a not so popular director

Dude he was puting the accent on in the movies. An american movie he has to have an american accent. His real accent is what he talks like in the interviews. He just grew up in a differnt part of England to you. Noone has the same accent if they were brought up in a different environment.

I absolutely can not wait to see the movie. It comes out at midnight tonight, and I really think that small little details like cake color and the fact the the house happens to be brown in the movie instead of white like its supposed to be, or Edward accidentally having a black car in this movie shouldn't really matter that much to a real fan. No one can have so much money to make the movie absolutely perfect, we happen to be going through a tough time in the cash section right now, and just because the producer has more money than most of you here means not that he has enough to include every detail perfectly. We all know that millions of people will see the movie, and most of them will be chattering excitedly about each small detail after they leave, and New Moon will be sold out everywhere just like Twilight was. They said that they had better graphics and more money for props than with Twilight, because of the profits made off of the Twilight movie, but they still can't be including the 10 hour long details of everything in the book. Be thankful they even decided to put it on the screen, and forget stupid little details. You would NOT of done as well as they did, so why mock what you can't perfect? Could you produce a big screen movie? Make sure dozens of actors have each line memorized and perfected? NO. So stop being rude to those who CAN.

Ugh, the movies would be so much better if they got a different actress to play Bella. She's so one-dimensional and the bit where she's having the nightmare, what is that noise she's making, she sounds constipated. I know I can't say much because I'm not an actor so I don't know how hard it is to portray another character, but really, Kristen Stewart's the best they could find. Just because she hs similar features to what Bella is described as in the book does not mean she's suited for the role.

Kristen Stewart has no emotion in her acting. She uses the same sighs and stutters in every scene. This is the exact same character profile as her in SPEAK. She just has no inner passion and is kind of a downer. Not to mention her on the red carpet. She is just kind of a yeah whatever type of girl. Very emo...

Did you watch The Messenger? Into the Wild? Or Adventureland? How about In The Land of Women or Panic Room? She is a good actress, she had a HORRIBLE director in Twilight. I think CH must smoke a ton of crack because all of her movies suck and Rachel Evan Wood is a great actress but she did not direct her in Thirteen and she SUCKED in that movie. I am disappointed in Summit for hiring such a dumb $#!* director to direct what could have been a phenomenal movie. If they would have started with CW or DS I am positive many would not be quite so crabby about the whole thing thanks to CH directing all Twilight fans are going to pick apart NM when it seems 150% more in line than Twilight ever was.

Totally agree!! This was a HUGE point in the books. I started reading these books when I was in 9th grade when the first one came out looong before anyone knew about them and since then I have read them seriously like 4 time each, so I know them pretty well and I was so disappointed that this scene wasn't in the movie! I absolutely looove the move but it was far too short and too fast. They're relationship isn't completely believable because within 30 minutes or so they're in love. haha. Anywho I hope this one is amazing!!!!

btw all the people who can't understand why Rob uses that blank expression...read the books again. He IS in pain, he wants to drink Bells dry. He loves her but her scent is so overwhelming..duh!

Why can't they stick to the book? The book kept you wanting more, why does the movie have to change? I agree they shouldn't change actors now, but Charlie and Alice are the only ones who have acting talent. I don't think ANY saga fans would mind sitting through a 2.5-3 hour movie that followed the book. If they did it right, you wouldn't even realize the length. Look at The Godfathers I and II, the LOTR trilogy, Gone with the Wind - all very long, but worth every minute. IMHO!

I just want to say that in LOTR the left out A LOT also. Did you ever read the books of that?! It would have been 6+ hour movies each if they included everything in LOTR. It would probably be a 4+ hour movie for twilight or new moon. And if you ever read disclaimers for movies, they say they are BASED on the book, not the book put into perfect movie form.

if YOU had read Lord of the Rings you would realize that even being 3 hours long they left out some HUGE scenes and changed others....

How can you say that Alice and Charlie are the only ones with any acting talent? They were barely in the first movie, so you wouldn"t know. I think that Twilight was perfect, and New Moon will be good too. You cant stick to every detail in the book. Gone With the Wind is extremely long and it still doesnt have everything from the book.

honestly, they put in scenes that were not in the book when there were a BILLION scenes in the book that they could have put in that would have made the movie actually flow instead of making Edward look like a psycho stalker emo jerk. the best way to do it is to watch the movie first and then read the book. It makes the movie good then you read the book and its great! I love movies and Its hard to read a book then the movie never seems to live up to the movie. Just takes to long to come out.

Kristen may be bella but that doesn't mean that she's a good actor. But i've seen her in other movies and she's really good i don't understand why in this saga her acting seems to be really bad. Also Rob Patterson is NOT hot unless he smiles which he seldom does in this movie which bugs me he always has this pained expression on his face that just bugs me. As to how the movie relates to the book... no its not the same but its not bad either. Harry Potter 6 was way worse i went into the cinema expecting to see and action movie with a bit more romance than the previous 5 movies instead i got a romance with a little bit of yelling at the bad guys!! havent read anything but this comment so far, but... you CANNOT change actors/actresses in the middle of a series. where would harry potter (and i am not an avid fan) be if they changed actors. it damages any chance of future movies. i dont know about anyone else, but a secule/series is not the same if the original charcters are changed. it loses its steam. some things do have to change, but for the most part, the books are represented and presented closely.

All admit im not the biggest Kris fan but I agree with not changing the cast..... thats why i was so mad when they brought up the possibility of replacing Taylor....

whilst i agree with the whole changing of characters it would be dissapointing and theyd need to seriously concider remaking the movies twilight and new moon if they do replace any of the main characters. its not just their ability to act its their way they make us believe its real and its happening. As for the book i usderstand that books move to slowly and don't make for good movies but there is a lot that they miss out and there are also scenes from twilight that don't make sence if you read the book then watch it. but yes not everything can be like it is in the book.

The movies are never as good as the books because with books you create your own world and imagery of what you're reading and movie producers will never get that perfect for anyone particular person. I was personally disappointed in Twilight and thought that they left out a lot of good pertinent scenes from the book, however I am very excited for New Moon and I think with an increased budget they will be able to to capture the book a little bit better....obviously not as well as the books lol....I thought that the werewolves looked pretty good to me. Werewolves are always tricky because with movie special effects they usually come out looking cheesy. These looked more real then any that I have ever seen. Werewolfs are much trickier to portray on screen, but I think they have definitely done better then movies past

It seems like I saw a comment made by Chris Wetz and he said that Stephenie Meyer really wanted the werewolf to look wolf-ish, not like a scary movie werewolf (like in Harry Potter). He also understood that they are supposed to be horse -sized .... so perhaps when the actual movie comes out, the wolf will look bigger.
So far, I think New Moon looks awesome! I'm not so thrilled with "Edward's" quote "you're the only reason I'm (pause, pause, pause) alive (pause,pause, pause) if that's what I am..." it just seems like akward phrasing ... but once the movie is out, the whole thing might sound better.
Also, like withthevampires .... as a true fan of the books, I'm just thrilled that they're making the movies, thrilled to see the books that I love so much come to life ... even if it's not the way I would personally make it!!

Does anyone not remember that the they are not true "Werewolves"? In the last book Breaking Dawn, the royal Vamps describe that the Quelutes are more like shape-shifters instead of werewolves because they can transform anytime they want. Werewolves can only transform when it is the full moon. So I think that the wolf looks like it should. I do agree that it could be a little larger, but it DEFENITELY shouldn't look like the ones on Underworld.

Jacob does transform in front of Bella, when Paul transforms from being pissed that Bella knew about them.

He may transform in front of Bella but not in that particular scene. In the book she just sees these giant wolves attacking Laurent so she runs away. Besides...the movie is never going to be exactly like the book. It would be too long. I think it would be worth it though. =)

The bit with Laurent and jacob's transformation isn't the same scene. It's just been cut from later on. So she doesn't know about jake being a wolf till later on. They were just trying to show the good bits

Actually i was watching an interview with taylor lautner about the trailer.
he said that the scene where he changed into the werewolf and she yelled run was the scene with paul and was a completely different scene from the medow. they just added it together so it would look cool

the shot of jake turning into the wolf is when she is running away from Sam. it is two different shots. you can tell becuse Bella is wearing different clothes. the backpack is a big key.

1.When Jacob came from his house he was NOT in the meadow... he was at Lapush saving bella from Paul.
The scene with Laurant and part when Jacob turns into a werewolf are to entirely different scenes...
2Bella is running twords Jacob teling him to run because Paul is trying to kill her! Then he jumps over her and phases in front of her to face Paul. Hes not behind her.
3. Jacob was only with the pack when he transformed into a werewolf because he was saving Bella from Paul!!!! you need some glasses or somthing....

I realy hope they have all the essential scens in new moon becouse they missed out alot in Twilight. You have mention some of the scens alreddy but one I have not heard anyone talk about is when Bella runaway from Alice in the hotel. In the book they are att an airport and Bella has calld her mom but nothing of this is in the movie.. I thought that they should have made the movie longer and have some mor essential scens in it. (knoe my spellings not the best put hope you can read.)

She runs away from them in twilight hun but they changed that to the hotel instead of the airport minor change big deal.

My opinion is that Kirsten wasn't great in Twilight. Her expressions were very strange at times and she just didn't look the part. I also felt the film was rushed through and could have been a lot better, considering the material they had to work with in the books. Some parts just didn't make sense and it was very slow in parts. Having said that I thought Edward was brilliantly cast, as were all the Cullens. I didn't think Bellas friends were very good and we didn't get a sense of how they were in the book. That all said i still love it and am dying to see New Moon. VERY glad they changed directors tho, it might be more interesting this time

Oh My Gosh (: I totally agree with Izabella only not on that big of a scale. I read the books before the movie was even thought about (or at least I hadn't heard about it) And At school all my friends called me a freak for reading books about vampires and werewolves and bitched about me, after I had gone on soo much about the books and how amazing they are. So I was pretty pissed off when as soon as twilight: the movie came out... BAM! everyone's talking about it everyone loves it... all my friends were like OH MY GOSH. And I was stood there saying... hello? I did tell you about them before??? And It pisses me off when people ask me what's going to happen in New Moon? And I'm like OH MY GOD read the freaking books! D: So yeah I was bullied about reading them, I was the only one in my school who'd read them, now the most of the school have...because of the movie D:

but some of those scenes werent in twilight, so how do you get them?
because in the first and third one they have footage that wasnt in the twilight movie and that is the real kristen stewart. but the middle one used someone different who just looked like her.

fanmade trailers have to use imagination and lots of video clips. We can only use so much from the original movie, the rest we have to embellish in order to fit the plot. I know for mine that I made I used clips from Blood and Chocolate, Van Helsing, Twilight, The Covenant, The Messengers etc.. well i hope they DO change the movie because the book had no real plot and would not make a good movie if they copied the book verbatim. They need to have Laurent be the main plot element in the movie and have Edward in italy as the twist/climax of the movie. If they copied the book 3/4 of the movie would be Bella all emo and trying to ride a motorcycle. DUMB

Hey Barbie, you download the video clips from the net. To make the trailer you need a video editing program (Windows moviemaker you may already have on your PC or if you have an apple they have one too), one of us use more professional software. It takes awhile, you have to cut sections of all the clips you want and then arrange them, adding in music, text or FX. If you have a program, get familiar with how to use it, even if it's making picture slideshows, and then build up from there

I agree. New Moon was my least favoite book but that is because I always wanted her to be with Edward. Try reading it again. I just did and missed so much because I was obsessed with wanting them to be together. Reading it a second time made me realize why Jacob was so obsessed with Bella. I had originally heard the movie was to be released in May, no its November. I think I will explode. UGHHHHH!!!!!

Their both amazing! I really don't know which one I like best...they help a bit with all the anxious waiting for New Moon..wonder when it'll come out here in Madrid?? I do hope Summit makes a great movie, there's a hell of expectation out here! Great job aussie!

OMG! The second trailer gave me chills. I don't think I can wait until November. I am so anxious. I hope and pray that they stay as close to the book as possible. I wouldn't even mind a 3 hr movie to tell the story correctly.

let me just say that actors like hillary duff are just envious on kristen stuart's and robert pattinson' succes ... they were barely known before twilight and the really made a terrific impression ... but now everyone wants in new moon ... it's jus so lame ... and stupid ... jeeez ...
