You people worry about small thing like the cake and scenes. Well in that case why don't you people stick with the book then and leave the people alone who enjoys both (book & dvd). If everything is done by the book the movie would be borning. People complain about small thing in movies but they never care about what really inportant in life. I absolutely can not wait to see the movie. It comes out at midnight tonight, and I really think that small little details like cake color and the fact the the house happens to be brown in the movie instead of white like its supposed to be, or Edward accidentally having a black car in this movie shouldn't really matter that much to a real fan. No one can have so much money to make the movie absolutely perfect, we happen to be going through a tough time in the cash section right now, and just because the producer has more money than most of you here means not that he has enough to include every detail perfectly. We all know that millions of people will see the movie, and most of them will be chattering excitedly about each small detail after they leave, and New Moon will be sold out everywhere just like Twilight was. They said that they had better graphics and more money for props than with Twilight, because of the profits made off of the Twilight movie, but they still can't be including the 10 hour long details of everything in the book. Be thankful they even decided to put it on the screen, and forget stupid little details. You would NOT of done as well as they did, so why mock what you can't perfect? Could you produce a big screen movie? Make sure dozens of actors have each line memorized and perfected? NO. So stop being rude to those who CAN.

Okay, look, I think anyone bashing on the small changes in the movie REALLY needs a reality check. Honestly, just about all of the changes they've made are for good reason and for the changes that haven't been explained, who cares?! The fight scene with Felix, okay, not in the book. However, they've explained this and the reasoning was very good. Chris wanted to show the turmoil going on in Edward's head. How else would you have made clear the complexity of their situation? They were waiting on the Volturi's decision on where to live or die...how else would they have shown how little their chance was of surviving? It is very intimidating to think that Felix could have just killed Edward on the spot and there would have been no "happy ending". And the cake?? Seriously? They painted Jacob's house red, when it was initially green, for the sake of staying true to the book. I'm not even upset about the previous blogs, but I did feel compelled to shed light on the fact that Chris has tried his hardest to make the fans of Twilight New Moon happy. That's what I appreciate most. He's modified a lot of his own vision for this movie to be what we'd expect of it. Be thankful and stop bashing the small stuff.

You can not fully base a movie exactly off a book, especially if its in first person. acting emotions and reading them are two different things so as a reader you get a complete understanding of what is going on but in a movie u have to see it. very hard to copy cat a book and keep it interesting..otherwise the whole movie would be nothing but spoken thoughts and not alot of action.

I realy hope they have all the essential scens in new moon becouse they missed out alot in Twilight. You have mention some of the scens alreddy but one I have not heard anyone talk about is when Bella runaway from Alice in the hotel. In the book they are att an airport and Bella has calld her mom but nothing of this is in the movie.. I thought that they should have made the movie longer and have some mor essential scens in it. (knoe my spellings not the best put hope you can read.)

She runs away from them in twilight hun but they changed that to the hotel instead of the airport minor change big deal.

I just finished New Moon and is now working on Eclipse!!! I know this sounds really awful, but I wish they would just "Do IT". The intensity of the make out scenes are irritating. I Love what Stephanie Meyer has done with all the books, but I hope she never gets rid of Stewart, Pattinson, or Jacob, if she does, the movies will not be the same, it would be very disappointing!

My opinion is that Kirsten wasn't great in Twilight. Her expressions were very strange at times and she just didn't look the part. I also felt the film was rushed through and could have been a lot better, considering the material they had to work with in the books. Some parts just didn't make sense and it was very slow in parts. Having said that I thought Edward was brilliantly cast, as were all the Cullens. I didn't think Bellas friends were very good and we didn't get a sense of how they were in the book. That all said i still love it and am dying to see New Moon. VERY glad they changed directors tho, it might be more interesting this time

Ugh, the movies would be so much better if they got a different actress to play Bella. She's so one-dimensional and the bit where she's having the nightmare, what is that noise she's making, she sounds constipated. I know I can't say much because I'm not an actor so I don't know how hard it is to portray another character, but really, Kristen Stewart's the best they could find. Just because she hs similar features to what Bella is described as in the book does not mean she's suited for the role.

totally.... i have a friend that can draw all the characters and she is really good. she is in hollywood right now trying to get a license to do tshirts for the New Moon movie just like they did with Twilight. Im so proud of her.

whilst i agree with the whole changing of characters it would be dissapointing and theyd need to seriously concider remaking the movies twilight and new moon if they do replace any of the main characters. its not just their ability to act its their way they make us believe its real and its happening. As for the book i usderstand that books move to slowly and don't make for good movies but there is a lot that they miss out and there are also scenes from twilight that don't make sence if you read the book then watch it. but yes not everything can be like it is in the book.

Kristen Stewart has no emotion in her acting. She uses the same sighs and stutters in every scene. This is the exact same character profile as her in SPEAK. She just has no inner passion and is kind of a downer. Not to mention her on the red carpet. She is just kind of a yeah whatever type of girl. Very emo...

Did you watch The Messenger? Into the Wild? Or Adventureland? How about In The Land of Women or Panic Room? She is a good actress, she had a HORRIBLE director in Twilight. I think CH must smoke a ton of crack because all of her movies suck and Rachel Evan Wood is a great actress but she did not direct her in Thirteen and she SUCKED in that movie. I am disappointed in Summit for hiring such a dumb $#!* director to direct what could have been a phenomenal movie. If they would have started with CW or DS I am positive many would not be quite so crabby about the whole thing thanks to CH directing all Twilight fans are going to pick apart NM when it seems 150% more in line than Twilight ever was.

havent read anything but this comment so far, but... you CANNOT change actors/actresses in the middle of a series. where would harry potter (and i am not an avid fan) be if they changed actors. it damages any chance of future movies. i dont know about anyone else, but a secule/series is not the same if the original charcters are changed. it loses its steam. some things do have to change, but for the most part, the books are represented and presented closely.

Kristen may be bella but that doesn't mean that she's a good actor. But i've seen her in other movies and she's really good i don't understand why in this saga her acting seems to be really bad. Also Rob Patterson is NOT hot unless he smiles which he seldom does in this movie which bugs me he always has this pained expression on his face that just bugs me. As to how the movie relates to the book... no its not the same but its not bad either. Harry Potter 6 was way worse i went into the cinema expecting to see and action movie with a bit more romance than the previous 5 movies instead i got a romance with a little bit of yelling at the bad guys!! the best way to do it is to watch the movie first and then read the book. It makes the movie good then you read the book and its great! I love movies and Its hard to read a book then the movie never seems to live up to the movie. Just takes to long to come out.

Why can't they stick to the book? The book kept you wanting more, why does the movie have to change? I agree they shouldn't change actors now, but Charlie and Alice are the only ones who have acting talent. I don't think ANY saga fans would mind sitting through a 2.5-3 hour movie that followed the book. If they did it right, you wouldn't even realize the length. Look at The Godfathers I and II, the LOTR trilogy, Gone with the Wind - all very long, but worth every minute. IMHO!

honestly, they put in scenes that were not in the book when there were a BILLION scenes in the book that they could have put in that would have made the movie actually flow instead of making Edward look like a psycho stalker emo jerk. I hate the movie twilight but i think NM will redeem the the series. I hope David Slade does as much justice as Chris Wietz seems to have done.

How can you say that Alice and Charlie are the only ones with any acting talent? They were barely in the first movie, so you wouldn"t know. I think that Twilight was perfect, and New Moon will be good too. You cant stick to every detail in the book. Gone With the Wind is extremely long and it still doesnt have everything from the book.

if YOU had read Lord of the Rings you would realize that even being 3 hours long they left out some HUGE scenes and changed others....

I just want to say that in LOTR the left out A LOT also. Did you ever read the books of that?! It would have been 6+ hour movies each if they included everything in LOTR. It would probably be a 4+ hour movie for twilight or new moon. And if you ever read disclaimers for movies, they say they are BASED on the book, not the book put into perfect movie form.

I disagreed regarding the acting talent, I dont think any is oscar material but it isnt bad by any stretch.. I absolutely adore the Twilight saga and have read the books so many times I have lost count....I do agree that a 2.5 - 3hr movie wouldnt be a problem to any of the fans, the books are so absorbing I believe a well done movie would be the smae and I completely agree that no-one would notice the length.

Totally agree!! This was a HUGE point in the books. I started reading these books when I was in 9th grade when the first one came out looong before anyone knew about them and since then I have read them seriously like 4 time each, so I know them pretty well and I was so disappointed that this scene wasn't in the movie! I absolutely looove the move but it was far too short and too fast. They're relationship isn't completely believable because within 30 minutes or so they're in love. haha. Anywho I hope this one is amazing!!!!

btw all the people who can't understand why Rob uses that blank expression...read the books again. He IS in pain, he wants to drink Bells dry. He loves her but her scent is so overwhelming..duh!

Okay, ppl for crying out loud who really cares about the color of the cake. ppl can get upset over the smallest things and just because its a different color doesnt mean that its a screw up no one is perfect. What actually matters is the story line and what ive seen from the trialer is that it looks amazing. They did a great job.

People, PLEASE actually "watch" the trailer before you comment. I have watched it at least twenty times, and I can tell you 'FOR SURE', Jacob and Bella DON'T kiss. Another thing: If the movie doesn't end up "pleasing" you, because Laurant never touches Bella, or the cake isn't the right color, you really have to learn to "not sweat the small stuff." Bottom line; if you get the connection between the characters right, give us enough glimpses of Edward, keep Jacob with his shirt off most of the movie...i'll be a happy camper. Not wanting to see a movie, because of minor details is just LUDICROUS!!! No movie is going to copy the book page for page, it has NEVER happened in the history of movies. Thank you for your time.

I was sketchy about Dakota Fanning, but I gotta say she looks AMAZING as Jane. But, unless you’re some type of multi millionaire looking for absolute perfection, then don’t forget to complain about how long the movie is going to be as well and make the movie yourself if it’s not up to par for your standards for some obscured reason. It’s not going to have all the details from the book, what movie ever does so get over it. Take the considerations they even turned it into a movie for you to continue going goo-goo over vampires going at it, just for you’re (The fans, including myself) entertainment. You people are the reason bad gossip gets spread around, shame on all of you! Your comments may possibly prevent other fans as yourselves from even going to the movies, and maybe, just maybe prevent the creators from getting the funds to continue the saga! The director Chris Weitz stated he is trying to keep the movie as close to the book as possible, however I can understand that you only have so much time in a movie to fit as much as you can in, therefore, they have compromise and squeeze parts together. I don't mind the minor details, like the cake for instance. The story is what matters, always has. I think the only thing that would seriously bother me, would be if Bella and Jake kissed. It's not supposed to happen yet, and I hope they keep it that way! I also noticed that their eyes are closer to the color described in the books, that's a plus for me in the detail department!

Oh dear God. The cake is a minor detail. And compared to the characters' relationships, who gives a crap how she finds out Jake is a wolf in the movie? A movie adaptation of a book doesn't have to COMPLETELY follow every single detail of the book to be good. In fact, if you've ever seen a movie that does do that, it's really confusing and annoying and badly paced, and just basically a s*** movie. Movies and books are two completely different mediums. Get used to it. The people who complain about this stuff aren't wanting to see a well-made Twilight movie. They want to see their strange vampire love story fantasies played out by people who resemble the characters. And yes, the two scenes are edited together from different parts of the movie so the people b**** about that are not only nitpicky and annoying, but not very observant. Gah. This is why I don't tell my friends I read Twilight: because there are so many s****8, annoying little book-snob teenieboppers in the world that are giving normal people who like the books a bad name.

first off because Kristin and Robert just sucks at acting. I think Ashley Greene [alice] or Emily Browning [the girl who played in the uninvited] should of gotten the part as bella.

second bella throws the box down from a small paper cut and it drips like a huge drop of blood. unless it was a huge cut, [though the book doesn't say so, it says it's small]

third, Jacob's wolf is suppose to be HUGE. like bigger than a grizzly bear. it's suppose to tower over the vampires. and the wolf looks fake!

fourth, when Bella asks Edward to kiss her, it just looks horny, not romantic.

When it comes down to it. I only want to watch the movie to see jacob! I fell in love with his character when I read the book! I was like, forget edward! hha. not really. but oooh, i love me some jacob. expecially the guy who plays him in the movie! :)

I have had the experience with Harry Potter that movies based on books can be disapointing, to me as a fan of the twilight saga i felt very pleased with twilight and so iit seems with new moon at least with the teaser, the only that has really anoyed me is the Jacob "werewolf" its way too small and it is supposed to be bigger than a grizzly.

I laughed when I saw the trailer FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME and Alice was like, "THERE'S A CAKE, TOO!!" Then it showed a 3 sec. slow-motion close up of it. GOD! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!

Just so you guys know, if you pay strict attention to Bella's appearance during the spat with Laurent and when Jacob phases, they are two very different points in the movie. I was mad about that as well, but if you watch, the main difference is that Bella has a backpack in the meadow and doesn't when she's with Jake.

I just hope New Moon is more to the book than Twilight. Don't get me wrong I love Twilight but after re-reading the book I found so many things had been left out (some of which were important), changed and the book was deviated from. We all know Edward and Bella are the leads but still it is important for some things about the other vamps to be in the movie. Without leaving the series go to long before its included. There were quite a few hits and misses in Twilight. Lets hope the same thing doesnt happen with New Moon. I totally love this series. I've heard so many people say they were disappointed with the movie and wish they had of stuck to just reading the books. I also hope that lines said by characters in the movie are by those that actually say them in the book. Rosalie actually says alot of Alice's lines in the movie intead of how it was written in the book. In saying that I can't wait for the November 20. Twilighter 4 Life!

It could just be me here, but I loved the books. I got through all four in 5 days. I then watched Twilight and was so very disappointed. It seemed that nothing was the same as in the book. Even the smallest things. I have no hope for New Moon.

guys this is the gist of it. i have read the official script so i know whats going to happen already. don't worry the script is very close cut to the book none of the majors chapters are cut out. i actually like the extra touches and scenes added to the movie. it makes it way more interesting.
and btw the wolf jacob in the tralier has been fixed up and went through intense photoshop. so don't worry the wolf jacob will not be as tiny like in the trailer.

I know that it's impossible to put all the book history into the screen, but I hate the fact that sometimes the movie is totally different from what is written, for exemple on Laurent and Bella's scene or on the break up conversation that, in the book, Edward says he doesn't love Bella anymore and in the trailer he is saying that he doesn't want to put Bella through a dangerous situation... That's changes a lot!!! But take a look at Harry Potter's movies, they are almost exactly as the book, they didn't create solutions to shorten the movie... That's too bad...The only reason we want to watch the movie is because we want to visualize what was written, not see a different history...

In the Twilight movie, (I've read all the books, so i *do* know what i'm talking about) The Cullen house is supposed to be *white* not whatever the house was in the movie! i cry about that to my friends all the time. I wish they would atleast sick with some of the details, white house, pink cake, Jake not turning in front of Bella til much later...

to be REALLY honest i was disapointed on how Jacob as a wolf turned out to be. the wolf doesnt looke scary at all or what i pictured from what the book said. He looks more like a fox then a wolf. and in the trailer why does Edward look more in pain then usual I guess since the "loved" it so much on Twilight i guess they would more it more noticable. Third a lot of people on the internet is messing it up for the movie, half of the movie is on the internet as it is and then i saw what the Jane, Caius, Aro, etc. looked like by accident. I DIDNT WANT TO! what good thing i have to say is the director i think he will really show what New Moon is about. Now, dont get me wrong Twilight was good but they missed out on important main forcuses on the the book; such as the chapter where bella smells blood and Edward carries her and the deeper bond that they feel towards one another. This is just my opinion.

I think the trailers looking good, i love Jacobs wolf form, i know some of you dont but personally i think it looks as realistic as possible. i also like the colours better in new moon so far, in twilight everything had pale, blurry skin with red lips. it had no variation and i could see the actors makeup lines from where they gave up paling them out.. but in new moon everything looks bolder and more vivid with a visible difference between the vamps and humans (or wolves :p)

I think there are bigger issues to comment on than the the minor details. Once the Author sells the rights the studio, they will hollywood things up for popularity. One thing eveyone should be in an uproar about is the new actor stand in for Victoria. I mean what credit does Bryce Dallas Howaard have in playing her role.

ohkk omfgg so first off... the trailor is verrryy dissappointing ! :( my god :| when bella says "kiss mee" her little eyebrow twitch makes me bust out laughing everytime i see itt...... EVERYONE looks a million times older then they did in twilight cuzz of all the make up, especially bella holy crap she looked like 15 in twilight and now she looks like 30 :| you notice how her and the paper cutt is soo cheesyy. it also made me laugh when jasper attacked bella ? like what the hell he just like started sprinting towards her ? anddd like whoaa edward pushed bella away harder than he did jasper :S and whats with bellas blood ? its blue ?! ohh and haha look at emmet in the background when edward pushes jasper away, his hands are in his pockets and he just looks right then left, everyoe was soo MELLOW !? :|aand yeeeesh edward looks worse , likek he forgot to tweeze his eyebrows :| he looked soo perfect in twilight and look at him now . eekkk. ohh and then theres the wolf scene. like you couldnt even convince a twoyearold that that wolf was by any means real :| i expected it to be a little more realistic. aaand another thingt o take into consideration is that vampires are pale, and NONE of the vampries are plale ?! First of all, can i just say i absolutely LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Robert Pattinson/Edward Cullen!!!!! I don't care what people say about actually knowing him or not... We can always dream!! Before i first saw Twilight I thought it was going to be scary. I didn't think Rob was that hot on the cover of the movie and he looked a tad freaky. I only planned to watch only a little bit coz i was havin' a sleep over at the time. As i watched more and more of the movie i couldn't drag my eyes off him. By the end of the movie i was the only one awake..How could someone fall asleep while watching him on screen?? Bizarre. Anyway, i am really excited about seeing new moon. The books were great and i'm sure the movies are too. Although i cant believe Bella likes Jacob when Edwards gone. How could she go from having the hottest bf on the planet to... well...him?!? Even in 'real life' she half went back to her old bf instead of with Rob. Girl, if you don't want him, i'm sure plenty of other chicks will gladly take over!! If i got hold of Edward/Rob i would never let him go =)

okay wow you guys need to all chill out. For everyone out there that is complaining about the whole Jake turning in front of Bella in the clearing, it doesnt happen! Its two completely different scene's! You can tell just by looking at Bella's clothing. When she's in the clearning with Laurent she has on a GRAY jacket and a yellow backpack. When Jacob shifts, she's wearing a BROWN jacket. See two completely different scenes. Maybe you should watch it again and pay more attention to details. I figured it out the first time I watched it. So you can stop complaining now.

Just so you know the part where jacob turns into the wolf in front of her and laurent, its not the same part, they just made it look like that in the trailer...the part that that actually is for is when Sam is about to attack bella and jacob turns into the wolf and fights him to protect bella and that really does happen, so it IS like the book...I dont get why everyone is complaining, its the damn trailer, they throw a bunch of clips together so of course its going to be different...I wish everyone would just stop until they actually see the movie...i mean your twilight fans and havent even given it a chance yet, damn! I think New Moon looks amazing and looks like it goes to the book even more than twilight did, its going to blow Twilight out of the water, i can already tell!

harry potter movies are as loosely based on the book as the twighligh series are, i think you should re-read harry potter and watch those movies again. we love both for bringing the essence of the book to life not the details.

Harry Potter is not done by the book, the movies are so light hearted and the books are so dark, that is why there are so many people who are not fans of both. Maybe you should try reading the books again and then watch the movies. Honestly, there are going to be differences, the movie lines cannot follow the books exactly because there isn't enough time to do so. You can put down a book and pick it back up later. I don't want to sit infront of my tv or in a theater for eight hours like I did the books. Atleast they aren't destroying the plot and the whole story line like they did with the Stephen King stuff. And a lot of stuff that he did was release over several days on television.....

Ok then, forget Harry Potter. Twilight had so many amazing shots that would have been amazing on T.V. but they didn't include it. The movie had shots and lines from the 4 books... Twilight through Breaking Dawn. I liked even loved the movie when i first saw it, but now I'm a little disappointed. I wasn't happy about the Harry Potter thing either, The directors/producers/ and screen writers are getting to the poit of excluding important scenes to make room for scenes that never took place in the book. Hopefully things like that will not happen within the Tiwilight movie franchise. I understand that in reality, certian sacrifices have to be made and film will be lost on the cutting room floor...but it is my dearest hope that they will keep in mind that as popular as the series is, leaving out critical details or ading new material that deviates from the books, can confuse those few million people who haven't read the books but have watched the movies.

WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT A STUPID CAKE....FOLLOW THE STORY NOT THE CAKE.

In one of the trailers you see Bella punch one of the wolf brothers... Anyone who has read eclipse would know that Bella punching a wolf in the face is not a good idea! I just wish film makers would read all the books before making the films so they dont make mistakes that will make future films difficult.
Oh and can someone point out where in the books Edward has a fight with the Vultori? There is no fight in that scene in the book, I know the film makers just wanted to make it look better for the screen, but that dont happen!

I have not read any of the Twilight saga books, but I doubt very much it would've spoilt my viewing entertainment anyway, great films and I hope there's more to come. However, what does matter to me, is that in the meadow, when Laurent discovers Bella, his eyes are BRIGHT red which shouldn't be the case.
He's supposed to be unbearably thirsty and thirsty vampires have DARK eyes.

I honestly couldn't care less about the cake. Pink or green? Big difference! The story is what matters. That's what we should watch for to see if they get it right or not. Everybody keeps talking about the color of cakes and when Jacob actually changes and the clothes Bella is wearing. Did anyone notice that the entire scene with the Voluturi is all wrong. Except for Jane using her powers on Edward, there was no fighting...it was actually a rather peaceful confrontation. I don't mind, a little more action will make it enjoyable to watch....but if we are going to complain about semantics....lets complain about the big ones not the little ones.

I agree with y-lisetwilight .... would it have been so hard to make the cake pink? In the scheme of things, it really is just a LITTLE detail, but those little details can really get bothersome, especially when there are so many of us who are such fans of the books.
I understand sometimes movies have to change up what happens in the books, for the sake of time and visual effects. However, it seems like they sometimes just change things for sake of change.
For instance ... these are just a little things and I KNOW it's just details ... but somehow, that just makes it MORE annoying .... but in the Twilight movie, the kitchen cabinets were green, they had a dishwasher and no one cooked. Now, it shouldn't have bothered me. That had nothing to do with the big story, but it DID bother me. Would it have been so hard to have yellow cabinets like in the book?

maybe they dropped the pink cake before filming, and that's all king soopers had. and maybe the yellow cabinets looked green because the filming has the gray overcast to it, so they chose a different color?

It's disappointing that even in the trailer they can't get the timeline of Jacob's transformation and how it's not Jacob alone that protects her in the woods its the entire pack that descends from the woods that scares Laurent off. Taylor said those scenes are out of order so do not get all upset it's just edited together and those wolf shots come later when Paul attacks Bella.

The trailer is showing two different seasons...they show Bella with Laurent in the meadow. The scene after that is when Bella first see's Jacob turn into a wolf when he fights his friends. It's not all one scene.

If you watch closely, the shot where Bella is in the woods with Laurent and then the shot where Jacob changes into a wolf in front of her are from different scenes because Bella has different clothes on. And it's five wolves, not three...if you're going to talk bad about the movie, maybe you should know what you're talking about first.

Taylor Lautner explained this from the trailer. He said Bella is running from Paul when we see him transform in front of her on the trailer. In the meadow with Laurent Bella is wearing a backpack and when we see her running and yelling Jacob!! she is not. Two different scenes.

OMG PEOPLE for the meadow/wolf scene were bella is in the meadow and then jacob transforming into a wolf are 2 completely different scenes(notice different outfits on bella and the locations are different....meadow...then jacobs house...doesnt make sence)...They probably didnt want to show all the whole part at once for the preview but they wanted to show jacob as a wolf so they prob took a scene from later on in the movie trying to make it look like it was all one scene for the the preview but its not....get it??? chill out people, see the movie 1st before you complain!!!!!!!!

look closely to Bella's outfit in the Laurent scene and then look at it when Jake turns into a wolf...it changes so that means Jakes not changing to save her from Laurent but from something else... maybe Paul.

it's only the trailer and therefore clips from all parts of the film and if you looked closely when bella is with laurant she's wearing a grey cardy yet when she's running away and shouting to jake she's in a brown jacket. which i think prooves that it's two totally different scenes therefore dont jump to conclusions and start complaining just cus you havent bothered to look properly. :)

In the book there are 5 wolves, not 3. I think that transformation scene is going to be when Sam and the others find out that Bella knows and then Paul gets mad and wants to attack her. They'll probably change it around or something - not like the book. That seems like the only thing that makes sense.
He's a wolf in front of her only 2x's in this book - when they attack Laurent and when he pushes Paul away. So this must definitely be the Paul scene like I said.

if you notice and you have too look closely when she is in the woods she has a back pack on and when jacob changes in front of her and she falls on the ground she isnt wearing one...so i think at the time she already knows he is wolf...dont judge to harsh you have no idea what the movie is gonna be thats why it is called a trailor they want you on the edge of your seat wondering whats going to happen

The more humorous part of that scene is I saw on a video where they slowed in down when she was diving to the ground & her bright red thong is hanging out.

Well, in the end, it doesn't really matter what the cake looks like. I think, there are many elements they can't leave like in the book. I know that for us fans, it would be the best to have a 20-hours-epic with all the details and everything. But in the end, they have to cut it down to a 2-hours-movie which has to be appealing and keep up the pace. I think they did it quite good with Twilight, although I missed a little bit more conversation between Edward and Bella. But a good example of movie-storie versus book-story is how she finds out about the Cullens. It's actually Jacob who tells her. In the movie, they had to make it more interesting. It wouldn't have worked otherwise. But I totally get your point.

Maybe they should do everything in the Breaking Dawn book because it is the last that is not from Edwards veiw (in New Moon after he left. i heard Stephanie was going to do that next.) I cant wait to see how they do Renesesme bellas daughter.

me either. Breaking Dawn is going to be tricky. But with that being said, it's gonna be a good thing for team Edward. It will really give Edwardf that lead again as far as team Jacob and team Edward is concerned.

I totally agree about the cutting the conversation out. I wish they would've had more but you can kind of see that in that weird montage they did of them talking in her bed, and then in the tree. I agree with a previous person who said that more Edward is good. I personally didn't love New Moon just because Edward was hardly in it and because Bella was soo depressed. I mean I was reading that book and it totally got me down. Plus I mean I'm totally team Edward so too much of Jacob bothers me! lol

I agree 100%. They did a very good job with the movie.. Though I read all of the novels before the movie came out, My boyfriend (who is neither edward OR Jacob :) ) wanted nothing to do with them, since he's seen Twilight and the trailer for New Moon, he came to me and asked to borrow my novels.

that is usually the way it goes. my man he didnt understand the entire thing so i had to in great details tell him every thing. then he wanted to borrow my books and movie. only problem i live in georgia and he in texas. i still sent them to him. and he loved them.

I like that you can actually tell the "bad" vampires eyes are red in this movie, and edward looks more white than in twilight. I think it will be better than twilight or atleast I hope so!!! I wish the same people that make the harry potter movies would make the twilight movies so that they were more like the books. But I can't wait to see it!!! Countin down the days!

I have read nearly all the books (half way thru eclipse) and the book is a bit different to the trialer. i think the books are much better but i still like the films. wen i read the book i wanted to see more of edward and my imagination deffinatly pictured if differently and in my opinion better. The bit with Laurent and jacob's transformation isn't the same scene. It's just been cut from later on. So she doesn't know about jake being a wolf till later on. They were just trying to show the good bits

Jacob does transform in front of Bella, when Paul transforms from being pissed that Bella knew about them.

He may transform in front of Bella but not in that particular scene. In the book she just sees these giant wolves attacking Laurent so she runs away. Besides...the movie is never going to be exactly like the book. It would be too long. I think it would be worth it though. =)

Does anyone not remember that the they are not true "Werewolves"? In the last book Breaking Dawn, the royal Vamps describe that the Quelutes are more like shape-shifters instead of werewolves because they can transform anytime they want. Werewolves can only transform when it is the full moon. So I think that the wolf looks like it should. I do agree that it could be a little larger, but it DEFENITELY shouldn't look like the ones on Underworld.

It seems like I saw a comment made by Chris Wetz and he said that Stephenie Meyer really wanted the werewolf to look wolf-ish, not like a scary movie werewolf (like in Harry Potter). He also understood that they are supposed to be horse -sized .... so perhaps when the actual movie comes out, the wolf will look bigger.
So far, I think New Moon looks awesome! I'm not so thrilled with "Edward's" quote "you're the only reason I'm (pause, pause, pause) alive (pause,pause, pause) if that's what I am..." it just seems like akward phrasing ... but once the movie is out, the whole thing might sound better.
Also, like withthevampires .... as a true fan of the books, I'm just thrilled that they're making the movies, thrilled to see the books that I love so much come to life ... even if it's not the way I would personally make it!!

The movies are never as good as the books because with books you create your own world and imagery of what you're reading and movie producers will never get that perfect for anyone particular person. I was personally disappointed in Twilight and thought that they left out a lot of good pertinent scenes from the book, however I am very excited for New Moon and I think with an increased budget they will be able to to capture the book a little bit better....obviously not as well as the books lol....I thought that the werewolves looked pretty good to me. Werewolves are always tricky because with movie special effects they usually come out looking cheesy. These looked more real then any that I have ever seen. Werewolfs are much trickier to portray on screen, but I think they have definitely done better then movies past

I can't wait until the movie comes out! I've noticed Bella looks a lot more mature in the trailer. I just finished all four books in just two weeks - I couldn't put them down! Stephenie Meyer has a gift. I am definitely looking forward to New Moon and the rest of the movies to come. I am also going to read The Host soon. I hope that Stephenie decides to continue to write Midnight Sun!

That's what I thought at first too, but if you look closer at what Bella is wearing in the field with Laurent and then what she is wearing running to Jake's the clothing is different. When she is in the field, she is wearing a light gray sweater jacket over a blue button up shirt with a collar, and the yellow back pack. Then when she is running to Jake's she is wearing a dark colored jacket over a dark colored spaghetti strap tank, and no yellow back pack. So not to worry, they just cut the trailer to look like it was the same scene, so there is still a chance they got it right, like the book had, hopefully, but like you said nevertheless it will still be great!! I cannot wait till November 20th!!!!! The Twilight Saga ROCKS!!!!!!

When Jacob transforms in the trailer it is showing a scene from the book where he protects Bella from Paul. You can tell because in those split seconds she has a completely different outfit. So we can all relax :)

hello everyone can i just point out that the trailer is all differant parts of the movie and if ya take notice when jake jumps over bella shes wearing a differant coloured coat to when shes in the medow with laurent also can i just say again it is imposible to put everything from a book into a movie and sometimes things have to be changed to make the story work if they were to put every thing from the book in the film it would make the movie too long and cost way to much money so enjoy the books for bein great books and enjoy the movies for what they are fab

This movie is going to be a disappointment. Just from the trailers I already don't want to see it. I love Stephenie Meyer, and I absolutely love the books, but the movies don't do the books any justice. I'll still see it, but there's a slim to none possibility that it'll be even a smidgen decent. I wouldn't be surprised if it was worse than the fifth Harry Potter.

Can't WAIT for November, the trailer was SO awesome!!! I really hope New Moon turns out better than the Twilight movie was, it was quite a disappointment after the book. The new director sounds promising to me. Also, the lighting in this one is SO much better than that blue wash-over in Twilight. And thank god Edward won't be wearing more makeup than Bella.

Kristen stewart is a horrible actor so is robert pattensen, but i think The other actors are good

They're not terrible actors, they're just some of the worst actors for this particular part. Kristen Stewart was amazing in Speak and okay in Adventureland. Rob Pattinson was great in Harry Potter. Stewart just over acts in certain parts; Pattinson isn't smooth like Edward is supposed to be. Jackson Rathbone would've made a much better Edward than Pattinson.

I was kind of disappointed with the fact that they showed too much from the birthday scene if it was suppose to be a teaser they should have only showed a tiny amount of it. I'm not quite sold on the color of the vamps. skin tone either, they all look warm, not ice cold , and we can't really tell how big Jacob get as a wolf, I'm hoping that he appears bigger than what we saw, Bella mistook him as a big bear in the field, just by the mass size of the beast. other than that it was great, I can't wait to see more trailers.

makeup is SO much better and more believable in NM. Jasper (a very nice looking guy) still looks like something out of Dr. Who so that's too bad but the rest of the characters look great! I'm disappointed with the wolf :( it looked more like a cross between a big dog and a fox with alley-cat colors than the fierce, HUGE, russet-colored creature that Bella describes in the book.

I'm hardly a filmmaker, so I know that this has no authority whatsoever. But I sincerely hope that this is just a teaser trailer since we're so far out from November and the one they end up showing on TV will be better. Isn't a trailer supposed to show the entire story arc without giving away the ending? As much as I love Edi Gathegi, Laurent was an incidental in New Moon, and not central to the plot. This is how my trailer would go (and in this order):

Birthday party
Break-up in woods
Bella in woods
Montage of her hanging out with Jacob, getting closer
Bella cliff diving, quick cut to Alice saying, 'he thinks you're dead, he's gone to Italy'
Bella and Alice racing to Italy
Bella running through the crowd, but not quite reaching him in the trailer.
Trailer ends with her screaming, 'Edward! NO!'

Yes, I'm replying to my own post. Ha Ha. I just watched it again...and the fact that this trailer ends with the wolf (aka Jake) running after Laurent makes it look like that is the central struggle/plot point of the movie. And we know that it is not. So I stand by my original thought. I honestly look forward to seeing a better representation of what the entire story is in a trailer as we get closer to November.

The first time I saw the official trailer I was freaking out! I had chills and I was just sitting there with my mouth open. lol. I think I might have cried too. lol. It looks so good! I love when Edward throws Jasper into the piano! I was freaking out at that part!!!!!!! I can't wait until it comes out!!!!!!!!! :D It's my least favourite book out of the series but this looks amazing!

i'm so excited the trailer's look awesome hopefully it is as goog as the book was.. jacob is super hot can't wait to see his charcter devlop on the movie screen.

First off, New Moon looks AMAZING! Twilight was all right, but the book was way better. Some things looked fake and the whole movie was mixed up. fanmade tailer was honestly better in my opinion.......once again the movie strays from the book...and they differed how jacob transforms it would seem when watching the official trailer.....why? just stick to the book and you'll have as wide an audience as those who read the book. it's not the movies that attract the fellow-twilighters..its the devotion and books and being able to see actual people (actors) play out his or her charcters..having a face to the book-personality.I do however love the movies...but the trailer not so much.

This is my favorite book of the 4, and these fanmade trailers just pushes my heart to it's higher capacity of beating. I'm stunned, even if I know what's happenning. I think that Summit Ent. should give a little more than just news broadcasts on the movie they need to come up with a real trailer soon because i no for a FACT that fans won't wait any longer! I felt that the twilight film was brilliant apart from two things the part of the tree part and the feild trip which was not in the book, i feel that it shoud of been the blood testing and the trip to the meddow and then the first trip on his back, back to her truck then they share there first kiss.

Yeah i agree...but then again me and my friends say that the movie and the book are two different things they have the same basic idea, the same setting and the same charactors but other then that they aren't anything alike

Hey Barbie, you download the video clips from the net. To make the trailer you need a video editing program (Windows moviemaker you may already have on your PC or if you have an apple they have one too), one of us use more professional software. It takes awhile, you have to cut sections of all the clips you want and then arrange them, adding in music, text or FX. If you have a program, get familiar with how to use it, even if it's making picture slideshows, and then build up from there

these shots are not from the actual movie...they are clips from others that the characters have been in...and some from the movie Twilight...its just an opinion on what the movie would look like based on the books.

they get video clips from different movies like the messengers, blood and chocolate, etc.

Liset, since there is no footage out yet from the movie we improvise by using clips from Twilight or other various movies and editing them together to fit the storyline of the sequel

but some of those scenes werent in twilight, so how do you get them?
because in the first and third one they have footage that wasnt in the twilight movie and that is the real kristen stewart. but the middle one used someone different who just looked like her.

well i hope they DO change the movie because the book had no real plot and would not make a good movie if they copied the book verbatim. They need to have Laurent be the main plot element in the movie and have Edward in italy as the twist/climax of the movie. If they copied the book 3/4 of the movie would be Bella all emo and trying to ride a motorcycle. DUMB
