oh and I don't think you should judge by this trailer, they still have a lot of editing to do. they also chopped up the scenes for the trailer, so that's why it may look a bit off.

You know i just love how all the cullens are just standing there watching Jasper, Edward and Bella as if theyve seen this already (sarcasm).. Only Carlisle took a sorta protective stance in front of Esme. I liked the whole scene but i figured since vampire reflexes were so much quicker than humans they would help Edward get Jasper out of the way (like in the book) but instead they froze and watched. Im just saying what i saw from what theyre showing us in this trailer. Maybe they are helping later in the scene.. but i just think its kinda weird... OH and how when Bella does get the papercut it looks as if Edward isnt affected by the blood. (Hes like staring at her finger) Like no one is even reacting to the blood until Jasper attacks....

i love how the other vampires are so calm when edward is throwing jasper and bella.
i also love how jacob is shirtless and then when he jumps out of the house he has a shirt on:P

does anyone realize that when laurent comes to attach her she is wearing one outfit but when jacob transforms himself shes in another outfit. i think this clip that they show is 2 maybe 3 different clips of the movie. cause jacob isn't wearing a shirt than when he jumps off of the porch he is wearing a shirt. just something to think about.

i cant wait for new moon!!!!!!! i mean seriously!!!!! it has the hottest guys!!!! im on team emmett!!!!! i am because emmett doesnt care. he likes everyone and hilarious!!!!! i still am in love rob/edward. that will never change. sorry!!!! he will be my big brother someday. the perfect big brother. right?? maybe i should stop talkin now.....

oh yeah and i forgot to add this: if you go to the new moon website (www.newmoonthemovie.com) and click on 'enter the cullen house', there's basically a panorama of the ending of the birthday party scene and emmett is holding jasper back while alice tries to calm him down and is looking anxiously at bella. so they do react they just dont show enough in the trailer. lol. i do hope they have after that when everyone has to leave the room b/c of the blood and carlisle and bella talk about edward's beliefs concerning vampires and their souls (or lack thereof)

i dont think any of the little details matter like "omg thats jackson's stunt double, etc." because, if you remember, this trailer was released before they had time to do anything. they hadnt started post production yet. so thats why 1) yes its a stunt double and you can tell and u can see the rigging, 2) the wolf looks so unrealistic and non-werewolf-like.

also id like to say that the colorations are amazing on new moon!! there was a lot of blues and greens in twilight, but there's all kinds of colors in NM!! i LOVE the makeup and contacts as well, very eye catching. the new hairstyles too. and, even though its not the same house as in twilight, i LOVE the new cullen house!! its so pretty, i actually like it more than the twilight house. more of what i pictured in the book. :)

like everyone else, i was so relieved when i found out the laurent/jacob scene was parts of two different scenes. makes a lot more sense that way. i have this good feeling that chris weitz is going to do a really good job with NM. i cant wait to see what the werewolves look like after CGI!!

oh yeah.. and im going see bandslam just to see the 2nd new moon trailer xD

does anyone else notice that the jasper stunt double is showing pain when he hits the piano, but it wouldn't have actually caused jasper any pain at all?
but i don't blame him, i mean he's landing on a freaking PIANO.

i dont get it, why r the others just standing around watching him charge bella, and there face's look bored...

O gosh... where to start??? ahh i know, i will start by saying that when the movie TWILIGHT first came out... i wasn't the least bit interested in it!! it was only when I went to a matenee like 2 weeks after it was out with one of my friends and her mom (who was reading the TWILIGHT saga). we instantly fell in love with the "couple", actors, and the whole plot of the movie. so we left caring about them and talking about how rob pattinson was going to be my beau and she would date justin chou (joke between her and me). but we also decided that we would both read NEW MOON at the same time so that when the next movie came out, we would be prepared... well i followed through, but she didn't!! so when i was done reading NEW MOON i moved on and she was still on chapter 3 of TWILIGHT (where she still is today, hahaha. it is ok livvs) anyway, i ended up telling her mostly about some funny details in the books...... okay wait, where was i?? o yeah, so i am totally excited for NEW MOON. i am even going to a movie, BANDSLAM, on opening week so i can watch a newly cut preview of NEW MOON!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! i am so excited!!

the still by still is great, and as many of u noticed there are some weird things in it once u really look at it!
1) in the scene where Edward leaves Bella, he is like a foot taller then her, and in other scenes where she is standing next to him, he is only like 4 inches taller!! 2) the blood thing...and i get the whole CGI behind it 3) no one, besides Carlisle and Esme react to the whole ordeal at her party.... i mean Emmet does react, yeah he moves his hand out of his pocket, and of course Edward and Jasper react.... but still!!!! 4) **** SPOILER IF U HAVE NOT READ NEW MOON **** oh and it would have been nice to at least see a climpse of her jumping off the cliff, but i get that they want to keep it a secret/surprise...

I am not saying that this trailer is bad because of it's glitches, but i mean just because the movie is about "perfect" (and they r) vampires doesn't mean that the trailer and graphics have to be "perfect" :)

i love the trailer..but i dont think i will be able to actually see the movie cause ok si i am 11 and everybody in my class had read all the books and they told me give it a shot.and then i did and i loved twilight.so i read the rest of the books.but when i read twilight i was reading it everywhere, during dinner, while watching t.v,when my mom said to do the chores i didnt do them instead i read and read.so i finshed the book and then my parents where like u cant read the second book cause u reading the book al the time and werent ever listening.then i huged my dad and he said i could read my book 2 hours a day.soo i agreed and i knew he wont care if i read.he would go to sleep in the evenings for like 3 hours.and the rest he would be at work or on the computer and when everyone was watching t.v i could read.so i got the second book and read it.and btw my parents dont know wat twilight series is about,and i dont know why! anways its ok to read but if i go to the theaters i dont think any of my friends mom would let us go on our own.in the theater.does any body know i could fix this prob?help!!!reply and answer..:( please

am I the only one that noticed that edward is wearing THE SAME CLOTHES (charcoal suit and a blue shirt and brown shoes) throughout the whole trailer?!?!?!?!?! so what does that mean? bella has different clothes on but i really hope that when they get back from the party its not like " kiss me" and then " come take a walk with me" as we all know there are a few DAYS in between the party and when edward leaves. and more scenes in bellas bedroom!!! i think if they cut out those scenes i will explode because they never put like ANY of them in twilight! Also, at the party, bella should totally be like dreading it the whole time, instead, alice just gives her the present and she takes it all cheerfully with a little " thanks". just noticing some things im not liking...

they already changed the story, even though i don't mind. in the book, there should be 4 wolves, not 1, chasing off laurent. also, bella doesn't know or see that jacob is a wolf in the book, at first. yet, in the trailer she screams, "run jacob!" and obviously witnesses jacob's "phasing." i totally don't mind plot changes, though. not every single detail can be translated from novel to screen. it's just impossible. :)

when she yells " run jacob" its a different scene than when she is with laurent. She is wearing different clothes and everything. Since there are only 2 times when she sees the wolves in the book, I think that that is when they are with Paul and hes getting all pissed off because Jacob told bella about the whole werewolf ( well really "shapeshifter" ) thing. I really dont like the wolf transformation they showed us. I htink that they should have been much scarier, they look really cartoonish and I also think Jacob should be all one color, it would look better. Still love the trailer though and cant wait for the next one they give us.

Im bitter about jacobs transformation. the book talks about a pack of wolves who walk into the woods and save Bella from Laurent. She doesnt find out about Jacob that way, and thats a huge climax of the book. I dont like the change.

ugh, i totally hate that too. the first time i saw the trailer i was like "WHAT!!!? WHAT!?!?!?! HOLY CRAP THEY DID NOT JUST MESS UP THE WHOLE BELLA FINDING OUT ABOUT JACOB, WHERE HE LEAVES HER AND SHES SUPER SAD AND WAITS FOR HIM THEN HE MAKES HER GUESS AND SHE GETS ALL CONFUSED WHEN JACOB THINKS SHE'S SCARED OF HIM B/C HE'S A WEREWOLF, BUT SHE'S JUST SCARED B/C SHE THINKS THEY'RE MURDERERS, ETC." ugh, i'm SSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bitter about that too. they always seem to change everything from the book too much. like in twilight, mike is supposed to look more chess clubby w/ pimples and angelas supposed to be shyer and like ben, and the whole way bella found out through a quilleute legends book rether than just jacob himself, plus there isnt much meadow scene.

the trailer looks good....except for when jacob phases into a wolf. the wolf looked far too fake. i find it hard to believe that that is the best they can do. and why did they make emmit skinny? he looked a lot better in twilight. he's supposed to be talk and bulky, not tall and skinny. thats the problem with books made into movies. they can't get everything right, and for those of us that pay attention to details, it's rather disappointing. and why isn't alice small? she's supposed to be petite and pixie like. as in, under 5 feet tall.

ok ok ok ... in regards to the whole "wolf" thing, i don't think the wolf looks big enough to how they describe them in the 2nd book..

On two accounts from what i recall, the hikers in the store say they're bigger than a Bear and then Angela in the cafeteria says its also massive like a bear..

So they can't BOTH be exaggerating.. i'm sure theres a huge difference between a large bear and a wolf... seriously.

So i guess in the trailer we can't really see the wolf up against a huge for comparison, i suppose we'll have to wait.. i hope they don't dissappoint.. Although in the first movie they show the wolf pack when Jacob is talking about his tribe to Bella. they look like normal Wolves..

I hope they're something inbetween a werewolf and a wolf.. that would be cool.. obviously look more like a wolf.

Jasper's hair is REDONKULUS!!! And I have stuffed animals that are more fierce and intimidating than that fuzzy cute wolf thing they made Jacob into. Seriously WEREWOLF not fluffy timber wolf...

I can't wait for the movie to come out! It is going to be great!!!! I really loved the book, and although I've never been in love with a vampire...except edward.....I can relate to her emptiness feeling. I really think that Kristen will portray this well, she has done it in her other movies. I think that NM will really give her a chance to show different emotions than she got to in Twilight. One question: I thought Bella and Laurent ran into each other in the meadow, but in the trailer when she runs towards Jake shouting no, she falls in front of Jakes house. I know that the meadow isn't in front of Jakes house. Also I know that the movie is going to be different than the book, a good different, but different. Still I think that Bella running into Laurent in the meadow is symbolic of how she needs Edward, and how they are torn apart, but yet still bonded, she is still not able to live a "normal" life, she is still running into vampires, she will always need his protection as long as she is vulnerable. I know I'm analyzing this way too much, but if it helps pass the time until November, at least I can pass the time with thoughts of the movie!!

if you look closely you will see that they are too different scenes. she is wearing a grey sweater in the meadow with Laurent, and in the next scene she is wearing a brown sweater when jake transforms infront of his house.

Cannot wait till New Moon! The trailer was amazing, almost better than Twilight the movie itself (sorry catherine and the cast), but the Twilight movie just didnt comepletely do it for me. I was waiting for parts, and they never showed up. But the New Moon trailer is EXCITING!!! NOVEMBER 20TH!!

I am impressed. I think they did a hell of alot better job than with Twilght. The make-up looks 100% better its blended well and yet we still get that very pale look. The wigs (with the exception of Jaspers, I like his Twilght hair better) look fantastic. I am exceptionally pleased at Esme's hair, I don't think anyone else noticed but I did they straightend her hair more, in Twilght it was more wavey. I think it makes her look more modern and sophisticated a good look to match Carlisle's modern look. Her look to me in Twilght felt more like she was still stuck in the past. I have always liked Chris Wietz's work and he showing no disappointment from me here. My favorite shot (despite the black blood) is the one of Bella sitting amongst the rose petals and glass after she was tossed back. The one where she is looking up. It a fantastic shot you can tell the Director of Photography went all out. I also like the shot of when Edward kisses Bella on the forhead when he says good-bye to her. You can just see the love and heartbreak he is going through having to do that and walk away. Sorry to burst hearts but I really do think New Moon is going to be alot better than Twilght.

Dont mock new moon. Not every single thing is going to be perfect. It is better then nothing at all correct? They also might change the sandin around part. So just sit tight and wait. No matter the outcome, be thankful for them even creating new moon at all.

Also, I understand that they couldn't get a real warewolf to be in the movie. You do not need to explain that to me. I am not stupid. I just wanted to point out that when you watch the New Moon trailer if you watch Bella very close in the meadow shots she is wearing differnt outfits. When Jacob is running and turns into a wolf to save Bella shes wearing a different shirt under the jacket and plus thats not shot in the meadow. They put those shots together for the push of the trailer for MTV. The trailer is really not what it seems. I love it! It will be very different and shocking once watching the movie.

the pictures are great... they all look great... still not happy that wolfs are being used in this movie instead of werewolfs... i mean in the book they are described as big and standing up and they are vicious looking creatures, but in the movie you are using wolfs that are not as big or standing up and they wont look as vicious as werewolfs would look... (just look at how successfull Underworld & Van Helsing's werewolfs looked, they were amazing)... But apart from that, November must come now for i'm dying to see this movie already...

Ummm, have you read all 4 books in the series? I won't SPOIL it for you if you have not, but if you have go back and re-read and you'll see about the werewolf vs. wolf part. Also, where in the book does it say they are standing up? I think you are confused????

I Think He's A Little Down Though Because Right Before The Party At Bella's He Was Talking To Her About How He's Kill Himself If She Were Dead..Comparing Himself To Romeo.

i can't wait until the movie comes out, and everyone's going to be like "OMG WTF? EDWARD WASN'T SPARKLY ENOUGH!"

i'm not trying to be rude or anything, but i mean, keep in mind that they just finished filming about 2 WEEKS before this was released.
also, it's not going to meet EVERYONE'S standards, and they tried their hardest to film this so the fans will enjoy it.
at least they are making the second film, and whether it's perfect or not shouldn't matter.

though i must say i SEVERELY dislike what they did to Jasper's hair.
whether it's only for this scene or not, that wig is just... no.
even if that's how the hairstyle was back when he was changed, everyone else has modern hair, so he should too.

omg this movie is going to be awesome! have to say though new moon was my least fav of the books bc Edward was gone~ but I'm very happy with how the wolf turned out, looks great! The dead meadow was a great idea also...it really adds to how "dead" Bella was while Edward was away

I Love the stills. The color of the film looks so much clearer and better. I can also tell that the acting is going to be better. One thing though. Is bella going to cry after she like almost gets her arm ripped off......I mean hello glass... pain... big injury... vampire tries to like kill you.....needing stitches. In the book she goes into schock and she talks about how much pain she is in. I don't expect balling crying but maybe some like "Pre-crying" redness- ya'll know what I mean. She doesn't look like she is hurting. That kinda scares me... a little. I will still be the first one in line. LOL!!!

there are all sorts of things that I hope they keep but probably won't. For instance, when Laurent catches Bella in the meadow, Jacob isn't alone, and Bella doesn't know that's Jake.

You can see in the trailer that her clothes change from the time that laurent is with her to the time that jacob jumps over her, they chopped up the scenes to make it look that way.

so very tru but we got to remember that it is the movie and we as avide readers know it is not going to be correct but damn they all are so damn hot.

Love the trailer and cant wait for the movie.. Though I think in the part where Bella gets a cut and Jasper trys to bite her, Alice should have shown more emotions or action, afterall she can see the future when decisions are made, she should have known what will happen the moment Jasper started acting but instead she just stares into Bella like still waiting her to open the present... Dont get me wrong, I respect these actors and admire there acting which,in my opinion, is close to perfection, but I cant get out of my head this little scene.. What do you think?

I love absolutely everything about this, except one small thing. Jasper's hair. It was weird in the first one but now it's just like someone took my grandma's inch wide curing iron to it and gave him a curly afro. Not diggin' it. But that's small. I really like the concept of the dried meadow. So metaphoric.

The meadow is great. It's close to what is in the book too. The meadow is supposed to be almost perfectly symmetrical and when she sees Laurent there it's not quite the season for wildflowers. The only thing is it was supposed to be a bit more green. But I agree, I like it better this way.

Yes, I thought so. It's some kind of a metaphore of the real state of Edward and Bella's relationship. But I also think they have exagerated it a little. The meadow seems like the landing place of a U. F. O.

As for the rest, the colors are great, and i love the brighter contacts!! you can really see the topaz in the Cullens eyes and Laurents are SO much redder than in Twilight, were they were just kinda muddy red, and Catherine admitted in the biology scene they used CGI to make Edwards eyes look lighter. Much better here! I seriously cannot wait til Nov 20!!!!

It's a stunt double. The only bit that's Jackson is the charge and the mid shot of the impact before he's thrown. I thought the expression on Rob and Jackson's face just before Jasper's flight into the piano was hysterical.

Apparently he is wearing a wig, cos after Twilight they had problems or something, I think Nikki's hair fell out because of the bleach or something so they insisted on wigs, remember they are all brunette's. The only thing that bugs me about screenshots is that you notice things that should be happening but arent. Okay, when Bella gets her papercut, shouldn't Edward notice it? Yes, I believe there is much more footage. Peter said on the MTV red carpet that Jackson was so wound up for that scene, that he and Kellan were not acting when they struggled to hold him back after the piano collapse. Also, Elizabeth got knocked down in the melee. I'm actually excited to see the rest of the footage!

Uh sorry to burst everyone's bubble that may have seen this post above but the incident about midnight sun being leaked happened after this post on her page this was posted in june of 2008 and it was leaked in august of 2008 there still is no update from her on the subject of midnight sun but i have seen in some interviews with her that she said she will probably still right it one day but it is gonna be a while she had said something to the effect of she wants to wait till all the hype about it dies down a bit and then she might be able to get back to writing it but so far she has not made any guarantees... hope she does decide to write it soon though it would be awesome to see the rest of how edward feels about everything

when she is running back towards jacob's house, that is the scene when paul trys to kill bella and jacob phases to protect her.

Wow!!! I was already obsessed with this trailer, now I'm even more!!! Just. WOW.
Also noticed they did an excellent job avoiding continuity errors between shots.
Also decided I'm not too crazy about Esme's lavender dress. Everyone seems vamp-tastic (including Bella) except for her... Hmmm...

Interesting......that's the dress I liked the best. LOL! I didn't like Alice's dress. It to easily exposed that Ashley isn't the 4' 10" stick figure that Alice is supposed to be.

Nope......in Hollywood terms.....no. She's thin but not that Hollywood stick thin. Do I think she's unhealthy or overweight in any way shape or form, hell no. She's fit, healthy, and a great weight for her height. My point was just that she was thinner in Twilight, and in that sleeveless dress......in a room with Elizabeth (who looks thinner than her in the arms and chest), Nikki (who has lost weight since Twilight), and Kristen (who is probably the same size, but has that black sweater and a different style of dress on), you can see a difference. She's admitted in interviews that she worked out like a mad woman during Twilight, worried she wouldn't be as waifish as the fans expected.....since we know that Alice is 4'10" and a skinny little pixie. And now that the fans have accepted her, she didn't worry so much about working out like a mad woman. I just don't think that was the best dress for her. She needed something to cap her shoulders, like Elizabeth has on.

Also, on another note, you can definitely tell a difference in Kellan's size as well. He looks great.....don't get me wrong.....but they bulked him up with padding in Twilight so he'd be closer to being Emmett's size. Then to put him in more fitting clothes in New Moon, it makes him look leaner.

I find it interesting that in the stills, the wolf looks less CGI than in the video form. And you can definitely see the stunt rig for Jasper's 'flight' and that it's a stunt double landing on the piano. Still a pretty good double tho.

Yep....I'm with your sister. Spotted it the first time I saw it too. But it's not as apparent in the video as it is in these pictures.....of course. Yes...today is my day to state the obvious. LOL!! Something else I noticed from these pictures that I caught in the first viewing.....the meadow is too dead and flat. You can see it's dead grass and straw on top of green grass. In the stills, you can see the green grass better.

You can see all his clothes fall to the ground when he's growling. :)
